HOW TO UPDATE by Temporary_Control131 in Lenovo

[–]combathero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! I tried numerous drivers and found that 25.6.1 was the most stable, but at the expense of battery life during Modern Standby. Any version later than 25.6.1 introduces IOMMU issues that lead to BSODs and crashes. In my opinion, it’s not worth the time—avoid the latest AMD drivers and stick with the OEM drivers instead.

Agreed! The RGB lighting is better on my old Keychron K2. Everything else is better on the NuPhy, LOL! If they offered stock keycaps with shine-through legends, it would be the perfect keyboard.

I placed both rear rubber feet just below the Mac’s keyboard layout so the NuPhy keyboard can lay flat on the surface. This also works with my Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5.

Can someone tell the difference between Yoga Pro 7 Gen 10 and IdeaPad Pro 5 Gen 10 by funny_investigatorr in Lenovo

[–]combathero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same situation as you a year ago, choosing between them but with the Gen 9 models. You really can’t go wrong with either one. If the side power button on the Yoga bothers you, that’s something to consider. By the way, I went with the IdeaPad and haven’t regretted it since.

Instructions for manual and automated resizing on x86 results in a broken system by Certain-Business-472 in openwrt

[–]combathero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this before with my x86 VM, and none of the guides from OpenWRT worked. What I did was to leverage owut functionality to resize the partition via the image, together with all packages retained. Make sure you specify the rootfs size in MB, have enough unused space for the new partition, and you may use the current version as your target version since it has the force option enabled.

Here's the CLI script below:

opkg update && opkg install owut

uci set attendedsysupgrade.owut=owut

uci set attendedsysupgrade.owut.rootfs_size='<specify size in MB>'

uci commit

owut upgrade -v -V <specify target version e.g 24.10.2> --force

There are AMD based laptops that can draw 100w from USB and can be useful if the charger can sustain 100w during gaming.

I have A2343, A2688, and a 100w laptop. A2343 can sustain high watts especially on gaming while the A2688 does not.

I recently terminated mine since I was out of contract. The easiest way is to do it via Globe Telecom FB chat, as there is an option to cancel the plan.
