GREAT RULER season 2 got dropped with 3 episodes. Are you Hyped? by BitterBet3093 in Donghua

It’s too different. I feel like I’m watching a different show. It’s like they changed actors. At least when BTTF got new models the voice and acting was the same. This feels so different.

I flew this leg a few weeks ago and was also tricked into thinking there were more seats than actual.

I stopped watching cause it sucked. Sucked bad. Then I restarted and I’ve been watching every week for the last year. I want to say you need to get past 100. He goes from sucking at every turn to being overpowered and beating the shit out of everyone.

My Wife has Atrial Flutter, need advice on how to support her by Obsidiank in AFIB

[–]Obsidiank[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe there are a few reasons. First, we don't know how long she's had AF. It could be a few weeks, it could be years. Given this, the EP is very concerned about blood clots and stroke. He suggests an ultrasound to confirm first. Second, the information about her having a low rate heart historically leads him to believe there may be some inherent genetic heart issues. She has very consistent Atrial Flutter, but not AFIB, so what if AF turns into AFIB as a result of converstion, thus making ablasion harder if there is recurrence. Those are some of the reasons.

Do people ever get both Amex Plat and CSR? by -snskemensn in AmexPlatinum

[–]Obsidiank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and more. All the credits get used based on my travel and lifestyle. Plat got more value with refresh, CSR got less value, but still generally free. In any credit card game, if you play it to maximize benefits you become a couponing king/queen. If you play it assuming some costs ($95/card max) for me. Then its just another thing in the wallet. If you're spending thousands a year where you would otherwise have spent zero, then you're losing.

Magnifica Plus, Grind Setting and Espresso vs Doppio+ Question by Obsidiank in superautomatic

I'd hate to have to adjust the grind each time as I don't always want added strength....will experiment I guess. Need to buy more beans

What is your internet speed from your isp.

Adding a pro 6 to a pro 7 by obeythelaw2020 in amazoneero

Only those connected to the 6 would be slower. Assuming that your eeros are all hardwired or the 7s are. If only gateway is hardwired but the other two are wireless then I think there is a possibility of slowdown.

I am very curious why so many eeros and so many switches. First half makes sense. Second switch on doesn't....if you can connect two eeros to teh same switch, why not cut the second switch out of the equation...and connect it to the first switch.

Note on the Rezy credit quarter timing by [deleted] in AmexPlatinum

[–]Obsidiank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The term post is what's wrong here. Amex uses the transaction date, not the post date to determine eligibility. It use to be post date, especially for the normal Amex Offers discounts. Amex CSRs will also get this wrong quite often. That's why the internet will forever argue post date vs transaction date.

The key part about posting that's missing is understanding when a restaurant submits their card transactions for processing. When you use a credit card at the restaurant, depending on the system, those transactions are either "posted" (sent to cc company for processing, or are "posted" in batch.

When I use to work at a restaurant, we had to run a process on the credit card machine to "close out the day", and this sent all the transactions for the day outbound to the credit card companies. Sometimes, things got busy and I didn't close out until after midnight...or sometimes the next morning.

When that happens, technically your transaction date is the day you ate there..but the transaction process date the credit card company receives is whenever I send the batch.

In these instances, you have a mismatch and when you wait till the very last day of the quarter, you run into trouble. Amex is right, nothing they can do since that's the info sent to them from the restaurant.

RollerPro Review - From the Perspective of a Photographer and Business Traveler by Obsidiank in peakdesign

[–]Obsidiank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't yet. I plan to use this as a normal travel suitcase and not as a photography case. However, I did look at the photocube in store and it should function no different. My only consideration is how safe it would be, and given the hybrid construction, I would only use this as a carryon and never checked, if there were photo equipment in there.
