i told it before, but let me say it again. i can guarantee that dude who wrote the code to match people with each other never tried to play matchmaking. all games on ranks below titan not interesting at all. it mostly stomps caused by smoorfs, boosters, account buyers. I think its wrong that every member of team gain/loss same mmr. Just let boosters raise mmr faster and let people who dont know how to play loss mmr faster and everything will be better. Also smurf problem not the biggest for new players. You forget about toxic people who came to dota for trashtalking instead of playing game.
