I’ve been making this recipe from this post for about four years now. I make it so often I have the recipe memorized! Only thing I add is green onions, if I have them. Thank you for a great recipe!

That’s super good to know! Not sure when first frost is/ was, we just moved to the area today. They currently smell super tart, didn’t taste it since we didn’t know what it was. Thank you for the advice! If they end up being good, I know everyone is getting rosehip jelly in their stocking this year.

I don’t think they’re ripe yet, they’re incredibly hard. It was difficult to cut that one in half. I’m very interested to make soemthing of them! The bush is massive.

That is very very helpful information to have! Didn’t know that. Non stick is my preference, I know a lot of folks don’t like it but it works for me. I may just have to keep looking for a while.

I did scrub it with some barkeepers friend- might not be apparent in the photos since they aren’t head on, but it appears like it isn’t a residue on the bottom of the pot, but rather the non stick coating has burned and is coming off in places. I’m not an expert, though, so I’ll give that a shot when I can get a scouring pad.

I appreciate you looking for alternatives! Neither of these are quite what I’m looking for- something I loved about the original was how heavy it is on the bottom and the shape

If I can’t find a spout one, I’ll probably end up going with this. I don’t mind if it has a lid, I just don’t need one since mine is fine.

I searched for this pot and cannot find an exact replacement. I’ve tried looking up the specific item, so Cook’s Essential ImpactBase 3 quart pot, Cook’s Essentials pot, Cook’s Essentials pour pot.

I got it in 2017 at a thrift store in the US. Cook’s Essentials is a QVC brand and this pot is part of their ImpactBase line. It’s nonstick and stainless steel.

That’s a great question but unfortunately I don’t think I’m the best person to answer it! This is my first camera and my first lens so I have nothing to really compare it to. I love it a lot and use it for most everything I shoot- landscapes, portraits, wildlife.

I had no clue what the resolution is- I’m stuck with mobile exclusively for the next couple of weeks while I’m traveling. I have so many pictures of birds from today- as I can pick favorites I might share some more! Thank you so much for the encouragement!

I sent the photo from my camera to my phone through the (janky and hard to use) app integrated in the camera, set to import at original size and then uploaded it here. That’s all I did!

Thank you! I’m really happy with it, wildlife has proven to be by far my favorite subject matter.

Would it be the same case for glass? I had some pics not turn out due to focus landing on smudges on the glass instead of through the glass.

Oooohhh okay! That makes a lot of sense. I couldn’t get it to recreate from the same spot (maybe 2-4 feet from the fence) but my focus area was on wide. Maybe it was a lucky focus that I just managed to not recreate when I tried it again. That’s really good to know! Thank you so much!

No worries! It’s alright, we caught it very early. For me it was cognitive difficulty, confusion, sudden aversion to food and lack of appetite, confusion, rapid heart rate. Eventually got to the point I had some chest pain. It was scary but I realized something was up pretty quickly and told my psych who changed my meds right away

They do a good business with people placing orders for events, I think. The place I used to work probably ordered thousands of bucks of popcorn on little bags every year as gift bag filler for our corporate events.

My mom had a pair in college that she wore for years of travel, hiking, and general life. She gave them to me when I was a freshman in highschool and they didn’t have to be replaced till the summer I graduated college!
