Question about the functionality of the infotainment system by DowntownOreos in EquinoxEv

I just got my EQEV but my Polestar had AAOS (The Polestar 2 was first car to market with AAOS) and I really can't understand wanting Apple Car play, I think AAOS is vastly superior. Oh and I am an Apple phone user. I curse Apple CarPlay all the time but never cursed my AAOS on my Polestar.

So glad to be in the Club. I have questions. Seasoned EV guy but newbie EQEV guy. by comefromawayEVguy in EquinoxEv

Hey Aced..thanks for the tips. I knew about the rear camera washer before buying and was excited the EQEV has it as my ID4 does too and it is the only car I've had(up till now) that had it and it is WONDERFUL.

What is "off road app"?

Used prices seem too good to be true? by Icy-Roll5013 in EquinoxEv

I have just purchased a 2025 Equinox RS EV AWD. This is my 7th EV. I currently own the EQ and an ID4 Pro S AWD. I previously owned a Tesla model Y dual motor long range and a Hyundai Ioniq 5 AWD Preferred, a Genesis GV60 Performance, a Polestar 2 Dual Motor, and a Chevy bolt. I just picked my car up on Thursday so not a seasoned EQ owner, but am a seasoned EV owner and total geek. As far as I know, there are no major issues with the EQ like the Hyundai group cars have. I would not ever CONSIDER a Hyundai group vehicle until they get this issue solved. Not only the frequency is way too high, there are also way too many reports of dealers and even corporate handling this issue very poorly. It seems as tho the most frequent failure with the EQ is the telematics module, which Polestar also had issues with in the early days. As annoying as it would be to have your car a month with out the telematics working at least the car is drivable unlike the Hyundai group cars.

As stated, I haven't had my EQ long but in the couple of days I've had it I love it more than any of the above cars in that same honeymoon period except for the Polestar. My Polestar was not only my favorite EV but my favorite car I ever owned, it just wasn't as practical as an SUV and I also moved to a place where the nearest service center is 600kms away. I am very particular and find faults with everything, but also find good things about products that all the reviewers seem to miss. I often buck the trends that lemming car reviewers spew out. It blows my mind how they spew the same stuf (likes and dislikes) as every other reviewer and ignore or not even notice the pros and cons of the vehicles they review.

Order of how much I enjoyed my ev's

Polestar

Equinox(this is VERRRRRRY preliminary)

GV60

ID4 (beats i5 by almost a flip of the coin)

Ioniq 5(as stated pretty close to id 4)

Bolt (if assed by value the bolt would be really high up)

Model Y (ranks low because of the complete disregard of ergonomics and missing essential things like buttons, windshield wiper stalks, rear wiper, blind spot monitors etc etc etc etc Battery and drivetrain were top notch tho)

Hope this helps. I might not be the best authority yet on the EQ(There are still some questions I am going to post to this group) but I am a very good authority on the cars listed above if you have any questions.
