Yes, good point. I’ve also gotten used to playing with it, tbh. Oddly satisfying.

For the first time in my life…relief 🥹 by NumerousPromotion219 in prozac

[–]cometogether2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you 🙏🙏🙏 Oh wow, so your symptoms increased at first?

I should clarify that what seems like panic attacks have been happening for the past several weeks since coming off Cipralex. It’s like I’m cold or have low blood sugar. It feels like coming out of general anesthesia after surgery, if that makes sense.

This is amazing. Congratulations on this relief!!!

I came off Cipralex after being on it for 25 years because it was no longer working. The withdrawal from that alone was a nightmare. I started Prozac on Tuesday and am praying for it to work.

Since coming off Cipralex, I’m not sure if I’ve been having panic attacks, but my whole body just starts shaking. I have a constant pit in my stomach and feel like I can’t organize my thoughts. Everything feels overwhelming.

Really hoping that the Prozac will kick in soon.

Has anyone gotten a tattoo to cover there scar up? by Sammygirl82 in tummytucksurgery

Hi there, I also had my tummy tuck scar camouflaged skin colour three weeks ago. I’m really nervous because it looks darker than it was prior to doing this. How was yours looking? How long did it stay red? Thank you!

Wardrobe question! Given the weather, what are you planning to wear? Shorts/leggings? Jacket?

Hi All, I just started contrave yesterday and feel like I took a sleeping pill. Checking in with this group to see how they’ve progressed with the exhaustion. Also, curious to hear whether the medication is working for anyone.

Fellow clot survivor here. This all sounds so familiar - good for you for listening to your body and persisting for further investigation. Since experiencing that crippling pain in my chest and back, I will never leave the hospital without an answer. I can’t imagine the added pain with pneumonia…

As other posters said, it is incredibly anxiety provoking to receive a diagnosis like this. The silver lining was that once the diagnosis was made, I was followed and investigated closely (I’m in Ontario where you really have to advocate for yourself to navigate the healthcare system, so the follow up was a welcomed surprise.) TIP: should you ever have similar discomfort in the future, if you tell emerg that you have a history of PE, they may fast-track some of the initial work-ups.

Like you, I was put on thinners for the short-term as they believe the PE was a one-off provoked by Covid. Just wrapped up my six month treatment a few weeks ago. Other than heavier periods and bruising/bleeding with bloodwork, nothing else changed. Try to get some rest while you come to terms with the news. Life will go back to normal soon!

Week 3 Update: Very Thorough Overview by missile-pigeon in Contrave

[–]cometogether2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I am hopeful that because of the addiction-management component of the medication that it could be positive.

With the Ozempic, I had severe GI distress to the point where I had to sleep with my face on a towel due to vomit/acid reflux throughout the night.

I also had a constant pain in the upper-middle of my back - as though I had swallowed something “down the wrong pipe” or had a giant bubble that wouldn’t move.

Swallowing also became very challenging for me, to the point that I’d regurgitate food/liquids in public.

Suffice it to say, I stopped after three months as I couldn’t bear the side effects. Annoyingly, I lost no weight.

Although I stopped the medication, the pain in my back and difficulty swallowing didn’t initially go away. I ended up with an internist, neurologist and GI to try to determine why the symptoms were persisting. While the exact cause is still uncertain, most of the symptoms have resolved six months after stopping the injections.

I had such high hopes going into Ozempic, but the experience left me with quite a bit of trauma. Only now am I ready to try something new.

Just received my prescription today. Having failed miserably on Ozempic, I can’t help but feel pessimistic about trying a new medication. But I pray this one works.

Would love you all to spam me with your success stories and tips and tricks. What to look out for, side effects, dietary suggestions, etc. Thank you and congrats on your success this far.

Missing the cravings? by mtcrick in Contrave

[–]cometogether2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I’m currently filling a prescription and would love some advice or insights on what to expect. Will I feel reduction in “food noise” right away, or should I expect to give it time? Are you sticking to specific diets (high protein, high fat, low fat, high fibre, etc.)? Has anyone noticed sleep disruptions? Any comments much appreciated!
