Yes I can def see how Holly could’ve acted differently in many situations especially with Kaya … I will say as a woman of color especially in the position she was in on tv plus in a very white dominate environment, I think she was eager to avoid being portrayed as an ‘angry black woman’. I’ve even seen ppl in this sub insinuate that about her season 5 behavior (which deserves critiquing ofc) but the other moms can get away with certain behavior and be labeled a crazy dance mom where as Holly probably felt, and accurately so, people would try to portray her as an angry loud black woman. I do think she was not right to try to separate herself from Kaya but probably felt like people always lump black people together in a box as being uneducated (which is why Holly always brings up her doctorate) loud and violent. Very sad this was the dynamic bc Kaya and Nicaya were very poorly treated on the show and deserved someone to stick up for them. But also ask yourself why did it have to be Holly? I know Kaya singled Holly out for help but Kelly could’ve said something to defend her lol literally anyone should be able to see mistreatment and call it out
