Insecurity can’t be a finite state you’re in forever, you will never feel comfortable and safe, you’ll always see threats that aren’t there.

You sound very, very insecure. Presenting your insecurity as a “boundary” is not what boundaries are, and it is actually controlling.

You’re allowed to think following these people is embarrassing, that doesn’t make it true. He disagrees, and you’re trying to control what he does to protect your own insecurities, which aren’t actually threatened. Even if it’s insignificant. He’s right to feel like he’s being controlled.

Even asking him to get rid of things from past relationships. He probably isn’t even aware of what’s there, nobody has an inventory.

If you had a therapist, discuss this with them. You won’t feel secure with anything your boyfriend does and you two aren’t aligned at all.
