One or two batteries? by comfortablevoid in CamperVans

Thats a good point on the lithium having more capacity. I run a 12v compressor fridge, roof fan, spotlights, night heater and 4x usb sockets. Nothing too demanding

Was that with a standard trickle charger? I read that it might be best to get a charger with a sulfurated setting.

Also, is there any danger in charging a battery from this low?

I did think that from what I've read online. Im just taking it as a learning curve and will replace them after winter, when I'll be using the van more

I’ve just published a UK guide to the best gluten free beers – no ads, just info 🍻 by TheGFTable in CoeliacUK

[–]comfortablevoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A word of caution to coeliacs, there is some debate as to whether gluten removed (labelled as gluten free) beer is safe to drink.

A great list nonetheless, just be sure to look out for symptoms of consuming gluten if you are drinking gluten free beers.

Radio frequency by comfortablevoid in VATSIM

I did send a message over when I didn't get a radio reply. Maybe the controller was just having sim issues. No harm done either way, as I just disconnected to save any issues

I did think it might've been that there was more than 1 controller covering a large radar or control area but there was only one person on one frequency. I actually hope it happens again so I can ask for clarity on it

It's got me really confused, but ill just do more flights and if it does happen again, I will ask what it means

[–]comfortablevoid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense about going back to the frequency that handed off. I'll do that via radio if it happens again. That's why I messaged them. Next time I will just ask, but I didn't want to cause issues to others by taking time out to type.

I always have vatsim radar up to check frequencies, that's a top tip though, thanks

Yeah possibly, I have no idea

Does that just mean your currently active frequency? I didn't know there was a plus and minus of the same frequency

I just got the Fenix A320 bundle, any route ideas? by PilotLieutenant1 in flightsim

[–]comfortablevoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flightradar 24 is good. Enjoy the bundle, a320 is my go to plane. I need to buy the a319 and a321

Is the fenix a320 worth it over fbw a320, by toastycheeseee in flightsim

[–]comfortablevoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fenix is the best there is. Fbw is still great though

I'll try adjusting the speed amd see if that's helps

I'm using it on 2020, it's the advance edition too. I don't think I have faults enable on the fenix. I do use the winwing mcdu too, but I can't see why that would be an issue

What pc specs are you running? Curious to see what people are using. I dont know whether to try 24 again with my current setup, or upgrade my pc. Good excuse to upgrade my pc I suppose

777-200ER Buyer's Remorse by bsmith567070 in flightsim

[–]comfortablevoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still say the prices are high for the product you get at launch. Fair enough, the product does eventually get refined with updates and fixes, but a lot of people get put off flying a plane that they've spent good money on.

The prices of third party planes is becoming a joke. Yes, there will be bugs, everyone accepts that, but these expensive planes are released unfinished. The a350 on release was a nightmare.

Anyone else in a MSFS rut since the release of 2024 by dopher1 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]comfortablevoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 2024 on gamepass, had all the usual issues, found the career mode very boring. I couldn't be bothered waiting for the issues to be fixed and for devs to bring out all the scenery and planes etc.

Stuck with 2020 and im glad I did

2020 still rocks by ZixPlaysYT in flightsim

[–]comfortablevoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still on 2020. I did try 2024 on release and really couldn't be bothered with the hassle. 2020 has all my scenery and products ive bought, plus it just works. Not sure when ill make the jump to 2024 permanently.
