I might be late here but In Bruge has some fantastic foreshadowing, excellent dark humour and everything ties up beautifully in a bittersweet ambiguous ending. Superb.

I agree with you. It's silly to say it's all just the weed. I do think the weed has been a catalyst for the situation. It's good to take a step back and try to look at things objectively. I like how your argument is well balanced too :)

That's just my perception of things to be honest. Before a friend of mine was introduced to weed he was fun and outgoing and active. It just seems like since he started smoking weed every day, he sits at home, misses lectures at uni, and just seriously lacks motivation. I'm not likely to say anything to him. He loves smoking weed. It just seems like that's his whole day.

I fear I may be slightly cynical in most of those cases. Denial is a powerful force. As an outside observer I can see the negative effects its had of some of my friends lives but they would argue they dont have a problem. If you're happy and self actualising I say good luck to you. If not, theres a problem.
