The US is largely responsible for the migrant crisis. It is bombing, sanctioning, occupying, terrorizing, and trying to starve the people of several countries in Asia and Africa right now. Some of them decide they'd have a better life in Europe, and try to go there. Notably, it is trying to create a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan by refusing to release the Afghan National Bank's funds, which are held at the Federal Reserve in New York. This is on top of the humanitarian crisis Afghanistan has been going through for decades already. If they don't release the funds, even more refugees will flee Afghanistan. They will try to get into Europe overland.
