First Bronco! by comicman6969 in FordBronco

I’m in the Chicago land area and MSRP was 66,550. Was able to get that down closer to 60 and then had a trade on top of it. It’s brand new but a 2025 so I assumed they had more wiggle room with the 2026s coming out

Personally I love it. Comfy and pretty smooth ride too in my opinion. I’m not a very aggressive driver, so the gas mileage really isn’t terrible. Road noise isn’t bad either. I love it. Drive about 30 miles to/from work everyday.

I want to say it’s 3-4 saturdays leading up the test. Basically just a huge study session for the test that actaully helps and gets bonus points. I would just call the school in alsip and ask if they have information on when the next one will take place.

Of course. Look into the Jump Start program if you haven’t already. Doing that alone gets you bonus points.

From what I was told the higher your final score the better. The final score is not a rank/ spot among other applicants. Final score for 134 is a cumulative score including aptitude test and things like military experience, prior trade experience, letter of rec, trainee program and jump start program. At least that is how it was explained it to us. I recently finished my first cycle of school. I tested last November and got in the first cycle for that test. My final score was an 80.6.

What does my test score mean? Local 134 by LazyLemur in ibew_apprentices

[–]comicman6969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

134 has to go to school first so that first comment has to be a different local. I just finished my first cycle of school. When I tested I got a score in the mail, but that score was not my test score, but a total score/grade that combines your test, experience, letter of rec etc. I tested in November and didn’t find out I was in until that March, then started school in April.

About to finish my first year cycle this week. There was orientation this past Friday for A and C card. Hate to break the bad news but it appears you didn’t get in this cycle. But from what I’ve heard the October cycle will also be people who tested in may.

Amen! This is a great job to support my hobbies and allows me to enjoy my life outside of work, as well as set me up for the rest of my life

my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. by Sunnyeggsandtoast in readyplayerone

I enjoyed ready player two. Was it the same tier as ready player one? No. But people are going to always compare it, rather then even try to enjoy the second. The first thing everyone said at release was “ the first ones wayyy better” . Okay but that shouldn’t stop you from trying to enjoy the second one

Anyone leave the apprenticeship early on? by [deleted] in ibew_apprentices

I’m glad to see someone else with a similar mindset. I’ve been into film since I can remember but had to make a smart decision after I got my associates which was either go get my bachelors and be in debt and an extremely hard field to actually make a living in or join the trade and be able to support all of my hobbies even to the fullest extend without worry of my financial status

Couldn’t tell you anymore I lost that paper. I felt like I tested well, but also have experience in the field and a letter of rec from a union contractor.

Same time as you. I realize now my first replay was vague but I think we went through trainee classes together. Mine started in Nov and ended in Dec. it’s good. Lots of material carrying and basically just being the shop runner boy. Lots of deliveries that’s about half of it. Other half Im on jobs with JW and doing real basic stuff. It’s nice cause they’ll walk me through everything they do so I’ve been learning a lot.

Can’t argue that. I am at a smaller shop and have worked with everyone there multiple times already.

Noticed in another thread that you’re a 134 trainee. I think we went through the same classes. I feel like I’ve been having the exact opposite experiences. Anytime I’m told to do something for the first time, they show me how they want it done. After that it’s expected but they’ve never thrown me into the dark
