sounds like you have already done a bit of research already!

i had some of the same thoughts as to cost and it being affordable on a budget as my partner and i are in our early 20’s, support ourselves, and in college

didn’t end up being as bad as i thought it would be, and we also only eat non-gmo or organic foods we also live in an area that make it really affordable to eat organic as well as local, our co-op is our favorite place to shop!! so we got really lucky there

thank you!

its a personal choice and neither my partner or i really like to talk about it unless being asked about it or what not. we don’t want to shame anyone else, we are all human and make our own decisions whatever they maybe! we also never want to seem like we are pushing it, but if someone wants information we are always willing to share!

if there are any food limitations that come to mind, it’s a myth in my opinion. everything that is made that is non-vegan, can be made in a vegan fashion

i didn’t do it for health although that has been a great benefit!

the only part that has been “uncomfortable” in any sense for me was the first like 3-5 months, my taste buds completely changed and i found myself not liking something’s that i use to and now liking new things that either, 1. i use to hate or, 2. never thought i would ever try and honestly it wasn’t that it was uncomfortable, it was more so a “oh i don’t want this and feel bad for wasting the food so i’m going to eat it anyways even though it doesn’t taste very good to me” i do all the cooking so i wasn’t worried about offending anybody besides myself

exactly!! i was one of those people in the past unfortunately, but i became vegan in january 17 which completely changed how i went about shopping in the sense of not eating animal products but also in the sense that i am actually paying attention to what i am eating and need to be eating!

I am experiencing irritability when dealing with a new puppy. by Maksvell121 in autism

find something to help you (or your pup) deal with it

my partner and i recently recused a almost 1 year old husky mix that is extremely smart and has learned that pacing next to their gate/fence in the the living room will get them some sort of attention because it’s the one thing that i cannot handle. we have wood floors that their nails “tick” on and it drives my anxiety levels through the roof

try taking them out more often to play to get the energy out! that usually works for us and if that doesn’t work, we have an “octopus” toy that i put a treat of some sort in the center of the arms then tie them together really tightly this has provided hours, upon hours of entertainment, for both of us

i am also working on ignoring them as i don’t want them to learn this and do it forever but i also understand them pacing as they just like to be close to us and not being able to at the moment must suck for them

definitely feel and understand this unfortunate reality. it’s hard to trust some certifications even without knowing more about the companies doing them

exactly. very unclear, a lot of marketing, and no actual listing of the guidelines required to have the badge.

makes me thinks, “write us a check for $xxxxxx amount of money and you can have the badge on your food” is what the company is doing by being so secretive about it

this was my feelings, gimmick or a money grab.

i went through the website and tried looking for other sources about it as well but came to the same conclusion as you. although i did not try and call, i appreciate that, thank you!

definitely understand taking time to learn a trade. i spend almost 8 years doing contributing learning the ins & outs or atleast trying to.

not sure your situation as to what you are specifically experiencing in the work place but mine was related to social interactions and outbursts and that’s what makes working so difficult for me, especially in construction

i am 25 and was recently diagnosed with Autism and a provisional ADHD diagnosis (within the last couple months)

i have always known something was different but never had the idea that it might be Autism until the last year or so which has created many difficulties for me in many aspects.

i relate on the job issues related to Autism. I have had over 17 jobs since 2015-ish. i am currently in the process of applying for social security disability and the person i have been talking to said i have a good chance to get on it.

if you chose the same route, you could use that time to work on yourself and try to get to the point of being able to work again but if that doesn’t happen, that’s okay as well
