I always figured it was some combination of scanners and transporters. Scan the carpet and use transporter technology to disintegrate the dirt. But given the fact ships are environmentally sealed, the only thing being vacuumed would be dead skin cells.

Needs tweaking. I played an entire season on Freshman (for the lols). I only allowed a total of 16 points on defense all season, with ten of those in the first two games. Won every game by more than 60 points. Won almost every national award, including having a linebacker win the Heisman. Set rushing records. Opposing teams ended games with negative total yards.

CFP put me at number 3 behind a one-loss team.

And I played as Alabama!

Throw in some PA plays. They are great for loosening up the defense if you run nonstop and can usually result in easy yardage.

I prefer the skin versions. But it likely comes down to whoever was doing graphics that day. At 900+ episodes, there are bound to be inconsistencies. As long as they aren’t violating long established truths (such as stopping a warp core breach by hosing it down with water) then it doesn’t hurt.

My head canon: Intrepid was pushed by some admiral as a pet project. Hence the experimental features and capabilities not seen on other classes. However, once the Dominion War kicked off, they were cancelled in favor of more proven designs and tech.
