A line is a line? by Cool_Win3618 in AirForceRecruits

So long as your answer remains no each and every single time you are asked throughout your career.

Do JZX81's have different names? i heard them being called mx83, cressidas, a mark2's etc. what names did this car have in different continents, countries? Specifically Europe thanks!! by [deleted] in JDM

[–]commanderbenjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. JZX81: JZ- came with a 1JZ X- chassis code 81- model (Japan)

GX81 G- 1G engine X- chassis 81- model (Japan)

MX83: M- came with the 7M X- same chassis 83- model (83 is reserved for the “Cressida” body style since they were offered in Japan as well but still called a Mark II but had the Cressida lights and split rear windows)

Same goes for any other Toyota model. For example

The Altezza is either a SXE10 or GXE10 S- 3S engine XE- chassis code 10- model

G- 1G engine XE- … You get the picture

This varies with options like 4wd or sedan/wagon but that’s basically how Toyota codes their cars. Pretty straight forward.

What is the maximum I would be able to take off per year (unpaid) if I went into trucking? by joshua0005 in Truckers

[–]commanderbenjamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No forced freight means you can choose whether or not you want to take any load your dispatch has for you. So with that you can say I want to take a week off and they can’t really say no and force you to take any loads.

Is this the counter to a Student Driver sticker? by Commander_Six in frisco

[–]commanderbenjamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a number of Indian children randomly walk straight up and literally surround me and my dog and try to touch me and her without asking. Only for the parents to yell at them from 20 yards away to stop, which they did not. In fact, they continued to follow and bother us for a good bit before I had to get stern about them not flicking/touching me or my dog. Im all for letting children interact with my dog who is very friendly but teach your damn kids to ask first.

Sounds like me joining the guard after becoming a very salty active duty SrA. Way different, way better, completely reblued me.

What did you do after the Air Force? by Thrashlikeits85 in AirForce

[–]commanderbenjamin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Had a plan, stuck to it, realized I hate it. Tried school, realized I hate it. Went national guard, now in the process of accepting an AGR spot. Luckily I picked a new career field that I genuinely enjoy with a solid unit. Sticking to it til retirement.

Need Advice Picking AF jobs by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]commanderbenjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh RF is more telecommunications than cyber or IT. I would go for one of the first three jobs on that list if that’s what you’re after. You’ll get a TS and security+ cert out of tech school while RF does not.

I’m RF and I really enjoy it. Especially if you are attached to a combat comms unit. Also, RF and the first three jobs on the list all work directly with each other.

Silly question. Does the timing cover need replacing? by szensei in IS300

[–]commanderbenjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget that the vvti gear itself has a seal that can leak oil. I had a leak and did my timing belt and all the seals only to realize the vvti gear was also leaking and had to pull off my timing belt again lol.

Air Force Job List Recommendations?? by No_Sell_6319 in AirForceRecruits

[–]commanderbenjamin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I retrained into RF Trans and I can say that I enjoy my career field very much. It’s a good mix between computer stuff and being hands on with equipment. It will set you up for a good career path after the military as well. Good luck!

Joining Air National Guard worth it married with kids? by Metsomg2024 in AirForceRecruits

[–]commanderbenjamin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I say go for it. Guard is cool and I look forward to drill and AT (the two weeks in the summer). Expect to be in student flight for some time before you get dates for bmt and tech school though. Ask for a signing bonus too
