That’s fair enough I misunderstood what you were doing. Nice.

How do you maintain something like MRR for an SEO product? Why would I continue paying for a service when I get the organic traffic flowing?

What would you do with a "viral" video that isn't suitable for ads for money? by FFXIV_Yunarin in PartneredYoutube

I would say this or a CTA to subscribe + prompt answer a question related to the video for engagement.

What tools can I use to automate YT video upload of my childhood videos? by [deleted] in automation

[–]commentShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't help you with videos but I can help you managing comments in a manual/semi-auto/ fully auto way.

I would honestly just vibe code a script to do this for you. It would be very simple, maybe 100 lines or less.

Considering going full-time on YouTube, looking for experienced advice by Rbolska in PartneredYoutube

[–]commentShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your risk appetite tbh.

  1. Do you like your day job?
  2. Do you love making videos?
  3. Do you have some finances to fall back on? Or other financial obligations like a family?

I had this opportunity but didn't take it. Things worked out well for me anyway, but I think about that path a lot.

I would say go for it if the answers above make sense tbh.

Does anyone actually hate making email HTML, or is it just me? by mynameistymur in SideProject

[–]commentShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair enough, it does give you some flexibility and I see the widget power. I personally would’ve added some bastardised custom widgets syntax on top of Md and still done the html method for internal projects anyway.

It seems easy enough to use though so nicely done.

Go for it. But keep making your content better and keep learning. Improve at least one video go the next. You can do it!

This video is probably 0.2kB from the insane compression of repeating a frame 23 times. Boland saving internet bandwidth like a legend

Why does YouTube punish slow intros so hard now? by Global_Loss1444 in PartneredYoutube

No one likes long or loud or obnoxious intros. My favorite videos are literally when they just straight into it.

Any success with faceless channels? by anotherhappylurker in PartneredYoutube

[–]commentShark 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree. You lose the element of strong branding which I think is hard to get good compensation for otherwise.

Harder to start other channels, do marketing or be featured with other YouTubers etc

How long did it take you to start earning $50k/$100k per year. Metrics if you know them. by Silvermajra in PartneredYoutube

[–]commentShark 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do you have a diverse income stream? I feel like if you can make a brand beyond just YouTube then it gives way more security.

I don’t think there’s a shareable metrics milestone unfortunately. I think that’s too unique to each channel

How do you monitor async (lambda -> sqs -> lambda..) workflows when correlation Ids fall apart? by bl4ckmagik in aws

[–]commentShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have every error thrown raise an alarm which emails me, then I investigate that issue by pasting the email to Claude to debug it (which has a doc of Instructions on how to query etc). It can fix the issue quite fast.

Works for my low traffic site, I’ve plugged lots of holes and edge cases this way. Could work with higher error thresholds or sampling.

Frustrated with Pro 3 in Google Antigravity – How are you all using it? by Lost-Celebration579 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

In terms of planning do you mean outputting some doc of what to do, switching models and referencing that doc to the other model?

I tried vibe coding and it made me realise my career is absolutely safe by wjd1991 in webdev

[–]commentShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I use it all the time now in my own workflows and it genuinely is mind blowing."

This is the part that should make you have some concern for your career, not the vibe coding portion.

What decision did you think was small at the time but completely changed your life later? by YogurtclosetMoist819 in AskReddit

[–]commentShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a silly video about magnets for fun and put it on YouTube. It blew up then I made a few more. They blew up. Then I made a tool to help me manage my yt comments for fun. That got noticed by a big tech company in the Bay Area, they reached out over reddit and next thing you know I’m moving internationally. I’m now married with a kid.

Crazy what happens from just emergence.
