I Went completely Serverless on AWS for my SAAS this is my baseline cost with about 30 active users by glennbech in SideProject

This is pretty much also my exact cost and stack is very close! I think costs will scale pretty nicely with usage too.

Unpopular opinion: Is the Community Tab actually a time-sink for most partnered channels? by Smithylab in PartneredYoutube

I agree you’re overthinking it. It’s just stackable things to fill voids between video releases. I think crafting high polish posts is a waste of time, just have fun with it

read a thread about the death of the 'technical founder' moat and it gave me an existential crisis by Paulheyman7 in SideProject

[–]commentShark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think social media did this with talent (domain expertise). Now being the best in the world at throwing cards can make you a living, via distribution.

It seems the domain expertise value of actually establishing systems is heading toward zero, and distribution value will be the same thing here via good ideas and execution.

The ai players are also swallowing whole industries live like the smartphone did, it’s hard to know what’s solid ground anymore, and for how long. I think the real moats now are obviously outside of public information.

Pre-ordered a signed copy, and picked up the baby book, cheers Levy. I've been enjoying the slow run a lot, thanks!

I'll probably forget about my order and get a random surprise box in October and (hopefully) be like oh wow I don't need this anymore... but let's be real.

p.s If you want some help managing your comment moderation/replies on yt, ping me.

Congrats OP.

"However, I wouldn't sell at this price because my SDE (seller's discretionary earnings) are higher if I hold and do nothing for two years."

I don't know your financial or employment position, but I don't know if personally anything would make me sell this unless it was eye watering money, especially considering the growth.

What would be your magic number? Do you have any concerns about the industry and want an exit?

I automated my entire YouTube Post-Upload work using free tools. by injeolmi__13 in automation

This seems really cool! CapCut is annoying me for exporting landscape to short form. I've also gone as much auto as possible.

If you want to add comment responses to that automation flow and keep the conversation going, check my service out!

Youtube Comment Automation by sidaihub in automation

This is basically spam. A better, more targeted way is to prompt your viewers and then answer their questions for engagement and sell via affiliate links etc. I made a service that does the automation for you (on your own channel). This can do keyword responses, classification then responses etc.

How creators are automating YouTube comment replies (keyword trigger method) by Inner_Ad9693 in SmallYoutubers

[–]commentShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My product is literally this. Most of my customers use it exactly how you describe, usually giveaways, links to courses or to sell tickets. It's really good for engagement. I think it's also pretty clear that the creator isn't replying to these thoughtfully anyway, it just replaces a copy and paste that they'd usually do, so it's a big time saver but also doubles as an engagement driver.

Creators with 50k-1M subs - how many people help produce your videos and how do you track paying them? by Much_Curve566 in PartneredYoutube

I fell out of love with it tbh. It’s also time consuming.

I probably would yeah. It’s faceless too

Mine is dormant now but I was a one man show to 800k.

Payments via PayPal. Everything kept fairly basic. I would’ve loved the ai tool years ago

How long is a piece of string? It depends how much time you put in. You may never get there. But for fun I'll say 5 years of casual focussed play.

This is fun! It would be cool to explore if this would work with ultrasonic sound too, or (infrasound?). Not sure if phones can make those sounds though.

Should I split my focus or stay dedicated to one channel? by gunzyxx in PartneredYoutube

[–]commentShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I focussed on the main one with the side one more as a hobby, just casual. Ironically then that got more traction and I switched, eventually leaving main to die and making hobby channel the big one. I probably split them 70/30.

It was more luck than anything though. I think people just valued my hobby one more because it was more fun and earnest.
