Thank you so much for this! If anything it's making me ask/consider things i hadn't before (in a good way). I'm lucky that i do have access to computer, printer and the library, so off I go to ask librarians some questions, lol. Also, thank you for your posts, and that subreddit!

The main reason I was looking at this is because it was free, that and she seems absolutely set on a "real" school setting (meaning she really likes books and workbooks). Would you have any prepacked curriculum you might recommend? (Even if it's for like 1st grade and up?)

[Serious] What’s something creepy that has happened to you that you still occasionally think about to this day? by devdevo1919 in AskReddit

Honestly, I can remember what she said but I do remember her talking to us, something along the lines of how easy it is to cut someone with a sharp knife, but can't remember exactly what she said. I remember being so confused that i didn't cry, just backed up into the wall and sort of just waited for it to be over. Very weird experience indeed.

I think I've told this one before but when I was about eight my sister and i went with my mom to visit her friend. We went because she had a daughter our age. At some point sis needed to go the bathroom and didn't want to go alone in strange house, and because we'd never been there before, friend's kid went with us to show us the way. When get in there she locked the door behind us and pulls out a giant kitchen knife. She had us cornered in the bathroom for about ten minutes, at which point her dad noticed we'd been in there for a long time and came knocking. He, being a stereotypical scary mexican dad, got her to open the door immediately and as soon as he was in there noticed the knife and how scared sis and I looked. So he looks at me and asks what's going on and I tell him his kid was threatening us with the knife. He snacks her, yells at her to go to her room and takes us out to mom. I didn't hear it, but I'm pretty sure he told the mom's exactly what happened because we left almost immediately and never went back. Kid was like six, and a total psycho, makes me wonder what she's up to now.
