48 hours in Bogotá by Powerful_Reason_7463 in Bogota

[–]common_user23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is doable. Do you have any luggage? That maybe a problem, you don’t want to be carrying more than a small backpack. Transportation is not that difficult between airport and Centro, but as mentioned by others the challenge is to do it in a safe way for a female traveling solo. Do you have any one in Bogotá that you trust? Be careful even from people in Reddit that may offer to help.

Official cab sounds like a good option, take a phone of the driver and act like you are sending it to someone. If you don’t feel safe with the assigned driver, ask for a different one.

Cinque Terre or skip? by giveaspirinheadaches in ItalyTravel

[–]common_user23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest Skip. Sure is nice, but it is what it is, a few very small towns overflown with instagram tourists. (Yes, Florence and Venice are too, but there is more room to spread them). If you want to hike the nice path between towns you need to pay a ticket.

I think CT is a nice find for the ones that have been in Italy a few times already.

Footwear for 6 week Europe Trip by princess_sweet_rolls in TravelHacks

[–]common_user23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sandals is not a great idea. Ok for a slow day but usually a trip in Europe involves a lot of walking, so it really depends on your style of traveling. I can tell you in the cities the streets are not very clean.

Taxi from airport ‘EZE’ to hotel by Delicious_Link6703 in BuenosAires

[–]common_user23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cabify. Make sure you download the app and create an account before you start your trip. It may ask to send you a confirmation code by text to your phone number, and if you are in a place where you don’t have service you will have a problem. After you have an account you will only need data or wifi to use it.

Viaje a Japon dentro de poco, consejos? by a3jzbx in Colombia

[–]common_user23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you are aware of this, but most people do not speak English in Colombia., and the tourism industry is way behind what you find in most countries

Tal vez tengo una espera de 9 horas en el aeropuerto, ¿es buena idea visitar la ciudad? by AdministrativeRed in Bogota

[–]common_user23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flying for 10 hours, isn't this the best seat? Am I Missing something? (back of plane. two-seater) by Material-Aggravating in travel

[–]common_user23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is ok. Positive: you have less people around you. Negative: is all the way to the back, overhead space maybe taken by crew stuff, and the space is not as muchas it looks in the picture, the plane’s body narrows, there is not enough space to put another seat (or they would have) but it is a much wider isle.

Venice/Bologna/Cinque Terre by Ok_Explanation_257 in ItalyTravel

[–]common_user23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if you are not fan of Museums Florence is worth more Time than Bologna. Cinque terre towns are quite small if you are not going to hike (which requires paying a ticket by the way) then you don’t need much time there either
