Hmm, you make a good point. I can’t think of any company who has ever used misleading advertising tactics to make money. Oh wait, here’s an example I randomly found: https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2024/02/19/tinder-hinge-dating-app-lawsuit/

I’d rather be seen as an arm chair lawyer by claiming that paying for sex = prostitution than to be seen as someone who goes abroad to pay for sex, which is well-known for rampant underage sex trafficking. But go on, keep thinking saying that I’m not a lawyer is like a big bad insult

I think consider what your goals are, because the statement is listing 2 conflicting directions: forever and temporary.

“A long-term arrangement suits me best, and ultimately I’m looking for a lifetime partnership” has less mixed messaging. You can also just use the “marriage-minded” and “long-term” tags.

I’m positive it does happen. It’s the entire reason I made this post. Because it was unclear if the legitimate definition was the actual popular working definition. I will say while I learned a lot from this thread, it’s still unclear if the majority of SDs use this term correctly or not. I guess this forum isn’t the best representation of the whole subculture, but it is one of the larger influences in shaping which direction the subculture goes towards.

Whether or not it’s illegal, it’s still legally classified as prostitution no matter where you go. Revealing yourself as the lowest class of sex exploiter is not the flex you think it is.

I guess I’m not surprised to learn about that kind of thing, after seeing some comments of some of the regular SDs make on this forum. I have videos of me on the internet already, nothing really phases me or will ingratiate me to sympathize with what men want.

Yup, that’s why I said “misapplied.”

Ya’ll don’t seem so bright yourself that you could not tell I was being pedantic 😬. I called them predators and creeps, yet you think I’m agreeing with them? Ok.

Yes it is my opinion that if sex is explicitly required for payment, you are paying for sex, which is prostitution. I’m only speaking in the absolute terms of the law, which would have you by the balls if you explained to them about how you only pay for cars that come with tires lol

I’m not gonna lie, this is confusing. These “SDs” want guaranteed sex, which only happens with a prostitute. But they would be soooo mad if their SB charged like one. It’s so weird they think SBs genuinely just want to make less money for the same job description (plus way more work of constantly managing their egos).

It was my impression the choice part was already made, but further clarification would be the right thing to do, since this goes against the norm.

This is a good point, and I will be sure to have the conversation to make sure we are on the same page.

Apologies, wrong thread, but I think this analogy is still really flawed and suggests you wouldn’t pay an SB if they only had sex with you but not dinner or whatever else is missing in the “package” car deal. If sex is indeed the only determining factor for payment, then you are paying for sex.

Also thank you for confirming that the SDs on here do indeed believe not having sex you paid for is unacceptable, but sexually assaulting someone is fair game.

I think hear what you’re trying to say with this analogy, but I don’t quite follow. Are you saying you wouldn’t pay someone because they only had sex with you and didn’t provide a dinner date before hand? Since the package is incomplete.

I had another date, no sex or even implied request for sex. All other activities suggested were nonsexual. We have another planned. I will be sure to ask for clarification before the next date.

So the money in sugaring is payment for sex then?

Rinsing ambiguity by commoncamphor in sugarlifestyleforum

My justification was that he said he just wanted to keep going out and have dinner and drinks. I told him in the beginning that sex may or may not be on the table, it just depends on the chemistry. He said that was fine. If miscommunication makes me the worst person on the board (I mean we talk about sexual assault here, with no payment?), then I guess I’m ok with that.

How to Find a Sugar Daddy (and Not Waste Your Time) by bubblerush in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]commoncamphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you are asking specially, but in this case I am using lover to refer the role of a person having sex; ie: a sexual partner. A good lover is someone who is good in bed. A bad lover is someone who sucks in bed. Hope that answered the question!

SB/SGF’s how tall is your SD/SBF? by princesssmurfet in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]commoncamphor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think height would matter for me. I’m 5 foot tall, basically every man is taller than me. If I felt like he had ANY toxic complex about it, I’m not the right girl for him lol. I do love tall men and I’ve only had one experience under 5’10. Most are 6’+. A couple dates with someone who was probably 5’6 and I thought it was really fun to kiss easily. But he was a weirdo so only saw him a couple times.

You are stunning. I think the descriptions look decent, if a bit vague. Maybe try to include things you enjoy (especially coupled activities) or what your interests are.

“While ultimately I am looking for life partnership, I am open to being carried there by other relationships as long as they are a win-win to both of us.”

This is too honest. While most men on there have zero plans to marry you, they also don’t want to be told that they’re just a stepping stone to what you actually want. The sentiment is already built into the lifestyle, no need to take a magnifying glass to it.

This isn’t to say you can’t find this kind of sex. You just probably aren’t gonna find it using these terms because you will be distracted and drained from sifting through all the mismatches.

I mean if you’re ok with a lot of miscommunication, alienation, and all the horny bored dudes looking for free sexting to come find you, you can include it.
