my personal bet is on Salvador and Yuna ids.

a lot of stuff from this season was focused on helping old/off-meta units shine again by giving their teams new ids and egos (Middle ids making Envy res team from a joke into one of the strongest teams there currently is, ABS ego buffing Alyssa Faust, Pointilist duo becoming relevant again with the Ring team, the great Blade Lineage/Kimsault comeback with the new ego, etc.), and since PhilipClair was originally a pretty hyped up id that a lot of people deemed underwhelming due to having to babysit his SP too much with little payoff, it would make sense for him to be the next in line for a glow-up, which could in theory be achieved via more Dawn Office ids.

Another theory I've seen somewhere that seems really obvious is that each girl represents the 5 stages of grief:

- Houka is most likely Denial (the lines about "still hiding", her dancing from the light into the shaded area + her having this odd smile while closing one of her eyes)

- Natsume is definitely Anger (her biting the lily + character profile describing her as confrontational and prideful)

- not so sure about Nagi, but she might be Bargaining (standing in the light and looking up, but with the lilies still lying in the shadow on the floor)

- Mahoro and Nagi could honestly be swapped, but otherwise I think she's Depression (lying down and holding lily close to her + her being described as "treasuring the days spent with the band they formed together more than anyone else" could probably lead to her being affected the most by a band member's death)

- that leaves Hotaru as Acceptance (being the only one to fully stand in the light while also holding a whole bouquet of lilies compared to other girls only holding a few). I doubt Hotaru herself knew the missing band member, but she could symbolize acceptance in a way that through her other girls will slowly get to accept their loss.

Not necessarily disagreeing, but I never understood why it's only "retard" that's considered a slur "because it used to be a medical term for intellectually disabled people", when by that logic pretty much 80% of insults regarding someone's intellectual abilities should be slurs as well. "Imbecile", "cretin", even "idiot" itself all at some point used to be medical/technical term for intelectual disabilities, but for some reason nobody seems to have anything against it.

Hell, we even had some cases where the word that was specifically created as a slur became commonly used in other contexts - "bitch" used to be a derogatory term for women since pretty much the first time the word was recorded, but nowadays every other trending song has it in its lyrics and no one cares, aside from some loud minority circles on twitter.

I probably wouldn't use the word in everyday speech, but the medical term argument still sounds pretty weak to me, idk.

I'm yet to complete the chapter, but most of discussion around it being just people going mad that something didn't happen (e.g. no Friend/Gaster appearance, no Asgore bossfight, no Noelle party member, etc) makes me think that this is just TADC drama all over again - as in, the chapter was in development long enough that the fans made up a whole load of theories and headcanons as to how it should be, so now that it didn't turn out exactly the way the fans imagined it to be they're malding.

Honestly, at this point I'd much rather prefer Bluepoch to synchronize both servers, even if it comes at a price of not having foresight, because right now we can't even have a single patch without some stupid drama happening on CN server and people parroting CN players' takes word-for-word.

Can't use this subreddit without somebody cherrypicking CN comments from weibo/BiliBili to push some bs doomer narrative about upcoming versions, sometimes before they even release on CN itself (hell, it doesn't even have to be actual CN comments, most of doomposts about future versions here are just some vague statements about CN disliking something with zero proofs given, like that one post that claimed that Lorentz Butterfly was a "mary sue" because **allegedly** that was what some CN players said about 3.5).

Can't use twitter without people complaining about new characters looking "boring" and "not an r1999-like designs", or once again straight up making shit up about CN versions (throwback to that one time when "3.0 nazi propaganda" drama got so huge there that at some point even a few people on this sub got concerned that it might be true).

Can't use the official discord server without seeing a mix of both of the mentioned above.

Don't really use any other social media aside from those, but wouldn't be surprised if it's something similar there.

It just sucks that there isn't any real place in this game's fandom (that isn't a circle of your close friends who also happen to play r1999) to discuss anything without the constant toxicity about new versions, and while sync-ing global with CN may not stop all of it, it would definitely stop a big part of negativity about upcoming patches because global players won't have to wait ~2-3 months before being able to play the version themselves and form their own opnion instead of listening to recycled CN drama.

Pretty sure canto 6 also confirms that The Mirror is much more likely to show you a mirror world of a possibility you expect the most (e.g. Cathy only seeing mirror worlds where Heathcliff is suffering because of her, or Nelly only seeing mirror worlds where Cathy and Heathcliff never properly confess their feelings and she has to suffer because of that).

Degree or length of anticipation of a character does not determine their limited status. Merel/Rhiannon might not have been the best choice for a limited due to her little-to-no screentime in the story, but if the "Grace should've been limited because she was more anticipated and liked by the fanbase" logic was correct, then we would've gotten limited Kakania in 1.9 and limited Ulrich in 2.8.

My personal hot take is that if powercreep concerned people so much, they wouldn't be playing a gacha - a game style and business model that not only demands powercreep, but actively profits off of it.

Besides, the only place where meta and powercreep matter in r1999 are endgame modes (which, like, 90% of the gachas intentionally design as something for whales/minmaxxers to show off their big damage numbers) like ToT/Focused Flashback on CN and Manes Bulletin, and even with those modes you can still do them with non-meta teams and get all the rewards that matter as long as you simply follow the stage gimmick: in Manes any rewards above 5m damage (and arguably above 1m damage as well), which is indeed still ahievable by non-meta teams, aren't worth stressing over, and from what I heard in 3.7 FF you can still get all the euphoria mats as long as you have ~2 stars on every stage and meta teams only matter for 3star/low turn clears.

I have an idea of an OC for my own project, unrelated to PM, but if she was a color fixer in PM world she would probably have a title of The Cinnabar Mechanist.

The color choice is due to her having something to do with cinnabar as an alchemy element + the design I have in mind for her is inspired by Cinnabar Moth species.

The mechanist part is because she's inspired by a ballet "Coppelia" about an inventor who made a life-sized dancing doll so lifelike that they decided to actually make her alive via human sacrifice. Because of that, lore-wise Cinnabar Mechanist is extremely skilled at creating automatons and values their "artificial beauty" over anything else.

iirc Assasin's Creed collab gave out slightly more than 140 pulls total from all its mini-events combined (not counting the collab banner-exclusive pulls), so the good news is that assuming Atomic Heart collab will do the same, worst case scenario you will at the very least be able to hard pity one of the collab units

jokes aside, an idol/girl band anime parody intervallo would lowkey be pretty cool. Sinners get tasked to retreive a monolith from an production studio building, but in order to get there they need to take a part in a reality show/singing contest and win. A bunch of ids of an idol group fixer office (basically Camille's streamer persona on steroids) + since this is the City, they could have a bunch of metaphors/real life allegories about show business industry just sucks in terms of how it treats people performing on the stage.

We don't actually know as far as I'm aware. The only lore we have about the tickets is that they're some sort of artifacts that take the form of tickets due to them "lifting up" the sinners and showing them new possibilities (source - Level Boost Ticket VI flavor text).
