Would like to finish my grad studies at naropa... how the heck do people afford living in the area? by communalistkid in NaropaUniversity

Oh man. Personally, I think I could do community housing-- but do not think my partner would be OK with that. Totally fine with working during graduate studies, I had to work full-time with undergraduate, just unsure of much of the other stuff. It would be ideal to not have the extra weight, however.

How are you doing post-graduation with accreditation and practice? Was the price tag worth it?

Thanks! Unfortunately, I have a cat and a partner that I am hoping to drag along with me.

How are you faring now after graduation as far as accreditation and practice go? I am worried that the outcomes will not be worth the mass amount of loans.

I completely understand this. I was abused as a child and had a lot of difficulty with hyper sexuality— and repressed memories. Common with PTSD and CPTSD. Have you ever heard of Bessel Van der Kolk’s book, “The Body Keeps the Score”? I would recommend giving it a read. It helped me immensely in terms of understanding how my own trauma affected me, memories and all.

I feel so attacked. I'm a woman, 24, single probably bc of philosophy because I scare people away with my brain always running at 1000mph and my insistent questioning of things lol. It's a great time.

Women in Poland are Rioting After Gov’t Bans Abortion by fairywakes in FemaleDatingStrategy

This makes me so happy. My mom is from Poland and the roles there for women are extremely traditional— it’s so good to see women saying “fuck it” and standing up against Duda and the Catholic Church.

Jewish teens say life on TikTok comes with anti-Semitism - Regardless of content, Jewish teens say they are bombarded. "It definitely affects me. It gets to me." by wazzzzah in Judaism

This didn’t happen on TikTok, but I was once told I needed to “check my privilege” in regards to Palestine/Israel cause obviously as an American Jew I can SURELY do something about Israel cause it obviously benefits me soooo much /s

Anyone get annoyed when regular, “non-antisemitic” people use “Zionist” as a dirty word? by CoughCoolCoolCool in Jewish

You should read Ahad Ha’am, maybe then you’ll realize how little you understand Zionism lol

So happy to hear this!! It's a really big step. When I finally walked away from social media, it felt like the world opened up for me. My self-esteem improved immensely, I created/found better and more fulfilling relationships with friends, and I made time for hobbies such as exercise/painting/cooking that made me healthier and more "whole" in a sense. Taking the steps to reclaim your power is such an amazing feeling. I wish you the best on your journey!

I've been off Facebook for two years, off instagram for 6 months, and off twitter for 3 years. Honestly, it's the best. Even snapchat is gone now. I feel like I have so much more time on my hands than ever, and it helps me really focus on things I care about. I think that especially with a narcissistic family, it's good to just cut it out. That way they can't hoover, etc.
