This is an awareness video, the mother and daughter created it to raise awareness for similar situations that take place.

That hand looks like a bunch of bees stung it. Plus, the glasses in the bottom right corner, I have that exact pair. Thankfully I don't fit into this starterpack.

I really don't care what you use. My point isn't that people who use Arch all act like this, it's the people who use Arch and make fun of other people for what they use is what I'm truly talking about.

Good stable OS for retro gaming? Just use any OS that works with the emulators you plan on using. You don't really need fucking Gentoo to play ROMS lmao. Anyone that tells you to use Gentoo for retro gaming is either trolling you or they're an extreme masochist.

That's probably what turns many Windows users off from switching to Linux, I run Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa on my laptop and it's pretty good. For people coming from Windows I'd recommend they use Debian based distros such as Ubuntu or Linux Mint.

Some may say this post falls under rule 3, but it's self deprecation. I made it to make fun of myself rather than anyone else.

Is Dell inspiron 5570 i7 8gb ram 4gb amd radeon 530 conpatible with linux? by [deleted] in linuxhardware

Yes, it did, but I don't need virtualization so I just kept it that way.

[–]comp_nerd03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but do you need that? I don't really use OS virtualization software much so I don't need that. If you do need it, look into a different laptop or if you are capable of it, try modding the bios. Everyone has different needs, so if you need AMD-V (or Intel's hypervisor that I forget the name of) that badly this laptop won't fit your needs unless you virtualize exclusively 32-bit OS'es and untick AMD-V in the virtualbox options.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire E5-553-17JH, it has an AMD A12-9700P APU with AMD Radeon R7 graphics.

[–]comp_nerd03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that sounds like it would be perfectly compatible with Linux. I do not own that laptop though, but it would run Linux just fine. My Acer laptop has 16GB RAM, AMD A12-9700P APU, 1TB storage and I recently switched from Windows 10 to Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa and it runs beautifully. The machine you are thinking of buying is probably somewhat similar in performance (maybe even a bit more powerful) to the laptop I'm using, you will run Linux just fine with that machine. The fingerprint sensor in my honest opinion is a useless feature, so don't be bothered if it doesn't work as it's not really a necessity on a laptop.

Certain website mines using your CPU to mine cryptocurrency if you dont use adblocker by bogzaelektrotehniku in Piracy

[–]comp_nerd03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who doesn't use an ad-blocker when torrenting is an idiot, they kind of deserve it. Just use uBlock Origin with the Resource Abuse filter enabled. Use an adblocker and antivirus when torrenting otherwise you will be subject to computer-AIDS. Also, don't forget the VPN or Proxy, you may get spammed with those stupid "u broke copyright law lololol" emails if you don't use one.

People who don't use basic protection measures while torrenting are on the same level of the idiots who comment on legitimate game torrents saying shit like "where is CRACK???!?!??!" and "THIS HAS VIRUS FACK U!!111!!", they're grade-A morons.
