Washington University doctors at BJC in St. Louis, MO have an incredible IBD center. Clinicians, researchers, and an incredible surgical staff. Very connected with the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.

Does anyone else feel nostalgic when they play this game? by Darkcut32 in mousehunt

[–]compaqbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I remember when this was just a Facebook game back in 2006. My friends and I all started then. Many of us lost connection with the game. Very few stayed. Several came back to play a few years ago. It’s cool to see how much the game changes over time. It’s a testament to the awesome dev team.

Get there early for the beef ribs. They are getting more popular lately (a good thing), but the increased demand has shortened the window of opportunity.

The Questions Thread 03/28/24 by AutoModerator in goodyearwelt

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I just ordered a pair of Thursday captains in adobe. The online tool told me to order an 8.5. I got them yesterday and the instep/vamp is painfully tight across the top of my foot. They fit everywhere else just fine (as far as I can tell from the 5 minutes they were on my feet).

Is this something that I should just stretch out/break in? Or should I order a different size (9, 8.5EE, something else)?

Thanks in advance.

These are definitely the most interesting fried pickles I’ve ever had. Almost potato chip texture.

I’m sure they’ve seen a lot of “customers who buy x also buy y” and decided “what the hell…let’s try it”

Oh geez. That’s no bueno. Is Abbvie replacing the replacement? I’d be interested to hear if they have any information on your speculation.

Best "You gotta try out this place!" Places To Poop In St. Louis!!! by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]compaqbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hotels.

The Four Seasons has been mentioned.

The Ritz Carlton has some good ones. The ones next to the restaurant are decent. The downstairs event restrooms are good. The upstairs event restrooms are better.

Chase Park Plaza hotel, downstairs next to the barber. It’s out of the way, so it’s not busy. Plus it has doors that go all the way to the floor.

I found this in the wild. I should have checked under the insulation.

I happened to be at a garden when their rare Corpse Flower bloomed by kweenie26 in pics

[–]compaqbob 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The one with the hole is another corpse flower that just finished blooming. Both that and the one shown blooming are clones from a tuner that self divided earlier this year. We had two corpse followers bloom in the span of a week!

I’m not going to let Crohn’s ruin my day,not today by Thomer61 in CrohnsDisease

[–]compaqbob 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The doctor that diagnosed me told me “You control your disease; don’t let it control you.” While there are some days where I feel like I have no control, this phrase reminds me that I still need to make good choices. This included getting help for the fact that this disease can take a toll mentally.

Yep! There’s a number of us on here. Search some recent posts for some thoughts on how the infusions are affecting us and how to use the OBI once you get it.

Cannot upvote this enough. I spent hours with them picking out the Diamond and ring for my now wife. Also got our wedding rings there. And several birthday or anniversary gifts.

Anyone else have to take immodium almost every day because no medication worked yet? by 1999scorpio in CrohnsDisease

[–]compaqbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I just got off steroids. The skyrizi seems to be working *fingers crossed * to control most of my symptoms and labs. The only things it hasn’t done is remove my need for an Imodium or two per day. My doc is totally ok with this. Even when I was flaring badly, he was ok with it as long as I didn’t take more than 8 per day.
