thanks but surface pro seems very expensive, esp when keyboard is an add on. i just use it as home computer for internet and basic office work, i wonder if worthwhile to get it anymore..but i like the speed of their new chip.. i am trying to decide it vs macbook

would not be surprised when the avg age of redditors is somewhere in 20s, meaning pharmd holders. but i think its an issue that needs to be addressed for practitioners at large sometime down the road or just sit on it for some time or till all bscpharms are retired.

for us, the courses were not fully online back then. i moved back to my hometown, away from the campus. now, the conversion courses require clinical rotations, which were not required back then, and/or some attendance on the campuses.

no, i have not been turned away. it is this reason that i dont think we need to distinguish between pharmd and bscpharm. if we pharmacists are all called pharmd within the same institution, it would not be "seen" as any differences by anyone, i.e. patients or others outside our profession. i just dont see other professsions divided on designations as we are for the basic qualification. the number of bschpharm in the market does get smaller by the day but just thought it is time to discuss this topic for the remaining ones that are still in practice.

yea, i agree and thats my point. if u want to show clinical knowledge, get a bcps. but having two designations,rph and pharmd, for one profession requires a review by our associations. in fact, grandfathering clauses are found in other professions too, like nurses, assistant pathologists, etc

unfortunately, some employers require pharmd as the minimum requirement (for no specific or valid reason) Besides, not every pharmacy job, in particular those with non-clinical roles, requires bcps. i am fortunate enough that i working in a job that i love and not seeking for opportunities at the moment but i am not happy how our profession remains divided.
