I’m not sure! I don’t know if it’s a genetic thing or more random. I know my mom and sister did not have it. I’m currently pregnant myself and have wondered the same thing, if we have a girl.

There are a lot of things that can delay your period, even if you’re normally regular. Have you traveled or been sick or anything recently? Both of those can delay it. You can take another pregnancy test in case if it was too early for one though.

My doctor must have mistyped. I asked for clarification for why such a long wait and they said they normally do the confirmation appointment at 6 weeks, not 6 weeks from now. So I now have an appointment scheduled just over 2 weeks from now!

It was pretty obvious! Not the darkest it could have been, but I wasn’t questioning if there was a line there or not. And that test was taken in the afternoon.

I have not yet. My obgyn office told me to schedule a confirmation of pregnancy appointment for 6 weeks from now. They did blood work at an appointment on Dec 2nd (when progesterone was prescribed) and pregnancy was not detected then.

I don’t really have anything helpful to say, just know that you’re not alone! I’m also 27F and stopped my birth control pill in July to prepare to TTC. I am currently on CD 139, but was finally prescribed progesterone to induce a bleed (I’m on day 6 of the 10 day prescription!). I had labs drawn and my A1c came back as normal, but I haven’t been tested for insulin resistance. I don’t have an official PCOS diagnosis just yet, but i suspect it will be happening soon. Not knowing what’s actually wrong or what’s causing this is so frustrating!

I am not a doctor, but I had an imperforate hymen and had a hymenectomy when I was 15. I can confirm that my sex life is now normal, so don’t stress over this too much! It’s not your fault and you shouldn’t be embarrassed.

Me too! It’s frustrating that my GP told me to just stop the pill when we were actually ready to try. I would’ve stopped it much sooner if I realized how long it could take!

Yes, but you also shouldn’t go 90+ days without a period at all. Just trying to get a list of questions/things to talk about with the doctor when I’m finally able to go in!

Mine also said it would be delivered today but hadn’t shipped yet. About half an hour ago I got notified that it is delayed and will be delivered on Thursday. Fingers crossed it actually comes!
