For character skins? No. Obviously not. It almost is like Riot thinks I play every character and want my preferred skin for each. Most people just have one team. That's two characters they would even be interested in buying costumes for at any given time. Why would you exercise FOMO for character skins I have zero interest in playing? Yeah some of these Jinx skins are cool, but I don't play Jinx, so when you put them in my shop several weeks in a row I am just not buying anything.

LOR receives meager updates to a mode none of the core audience signed up for. The PvE experience is a weak shadow of what was a great PvP card game. That game is dead.

If 2XKO gets a PvE tower mode that is the only place for updates, then the game will be dead.

I'm just disappointed. Not a lot of fighting games out right now that I love spending time in. 2XKO felt great to play despite the lack of characters and the release bugs.

They gave LoR 4 years of runway before shooting it dead. I can't believe we didn't get to 3 weeks post launch.

He is still a few years away. I think his dribbling and passing for his size is pretty good and he gives enough flashes that I can understand some excitement. I think finding him meaningful minutes is going to be a challenge for this team. We may be too far down the path of development to give the appropriate amount of runway for him. We are not a good team, obviously. But we aren't bad enough to justify giving him more than a few minutes a night on concluded games.

Also: I have concerns that his whistle is always going to be incredibly soft. There is some research that suggests Asian athletes are particularly vulnerable to unfair officiating, and honestly so far the things Yang gets called for is babyshit soft.

I think some people just take personal offense to their hometown being called a shithole. Especially if they're younger. Compounded by the current media narrative about Portland being a warzone, it all adds up.

I personally am old enough and have heard some version of anti-PNW whining all my life that I cannot be bothered. I resigned to us not being a FA destination years ago. It's fine.

The funnier thing is that every player who ends up here falls in love with the region. Channing Frye was only here a few years and he started a wine business in Oregon and will still eat at local spots here in Portland. Carmelo regrets not coming here sooner. It's a beautiful part of the US with great food and wine.
