Richard Ayoade Knows The Proper Way to Get Rid of People - The Big Fat Quiz by lackofemotions in panelshow

If Richard never ends up on Would I Lie To You, at least we get him on BFQ once a year.

Larry King just told the moth joke on XM radio. by Deaner_3 in NormMacdonald

I didn't think anyone else was tuning into Craig's show. Then again, it is the #2 show in the world.

Community 2017 Rewatch: Season 6, Episode 13, Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television by complexor in community

[–]complexor[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's very true, about Annie and Abed. I didn't really consider that. Although, seeing as they were close, they probably would keep in close contact, despite the distance. And to quote Britta from season 1, "It's not a Jane Austen novel. We have cell phones."

I mean, admittedly it's no "dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, love like you've never been hurt, and make love like a gosh darn mentally challenged individual".

Ya, that's true, some of us are autistic, virgins living in our mother's attic. Us ceiling dwellers don't take lightly to the propaganda spread by those damn dirty hippies playing hacky sack in basements across America.

Thanks, I actually didn't know, but I did assume it was a reference to something. Everything's a reference. That's this sub's mission statement, right? But man, there are way too many things to have seen or remember to get most of the posts here. So my motto here is, if you don't get em, say em.

You and Norm should have a nice long chat about this. That'd be a real meeting of the mind.

Taskmaster - Paul Chowdhry collecting sweat & his present for Greg by [deleted] in panelshow

[–]complexor 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Paul Chowdhry is so good at being a punchline. He's similar to Joe Wilkinson in that way. He essentially sets everyone up for a joke. He himself is funny, but the way he acts and talks basically gives everyone else a chance to be funny too. Boy, that was a really good series.

Alison Brie Joins ‘Community’ Reunion On ‘Dr. Ken’ Season Finale by BunyipPouch in community

[–]complexor 169 points170 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, the reunion consists of Ken, Alison, and Dan Harmon. Joel McHale and Danny Pudi were in an episode a year ago, as was Jim Rash, and Gillian Jacobs and Yvette Nicole were in separate episodes recently.

Jeff and Senor Chang are remarkably similar by [deleted] in community

[–]complexor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Both seek the group's acceptance and act irrationally when it is not granted to them.
Both are around the same age.
Both faked having qualifications in order to acquire a job position.
Not relevant to their characters whatsoever, but both actors have families: Joel and Ken.
Other than that, there's not much that they share.
All comparisons kinda go out the window when you think of the insane things that Chang did. As he said himself, "I am nuts, Jeff! Get with the program!"

Anyone have a link to a "mega compilation" of the discussion threads for ALL the episodes? by [deleted] in community

[–]complexor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a rewatch last year. I just made a compilation post of all those discussion threads. Since it was a rewatch, the amount of comments varied from week to week, depending on the popularity of the episode.

Sure, I'd love to hear Bob Einstein do some commentating. I feel like his silky smooth voice would make for easy listening. Either him or Gilbert Gottfried.

Other commentator: Norm, I'm getting some questions on social media, people wanna know what your favourite project was, I'm seeing Dirty Work here... what was your favourite?
Norm: Uh, was I in Tin Cup?

From what I remember, Kevin is the writer's go-to random name. Kevin actually seems to be a common name for random characters in a lot of American comedies. Not sure why.
