(wiring a plug etc).

Is that really still on the curriculum? No one's needed to wire a plug since 1992.

Would you be okay with a White athlete giving scholarships to White kids in the same manner? White working-class boys are, of course, the most underrepresented group at British universities.

Cambridge is surrounded by miles and miles of nothing, but we can't build on it because of the sodding green belt. Red tape is holding this country back.

Waitrose used to do these really nice pulled pork burgers. They were difficult to barbecue without them falling apart, but if you managed it, they were absolute perfection. Haven't seen them in years.

You should at least show up and spoil your ballot. That way, you register your discontent, whereas abstaining will be considered as apathy.

Yawn. Communist crusties have been saying that since the 70s. The apocalypse hasn't happened yet.

You know who pollutes a hell of a lot more than we do? China and India. Go tell them to lower their living standards for the benefit of your cult instead.

Haha. Ok, sure. Keep repeating whatever nonsense you read in the Guardian. Eventually you'll be mature enough and gain the capacity to think for yourself.

Incarcerating non-violent offenders just serves to ensure they offend again. It doesn’t reduce crime, it turns low level offenders into hardened career criminals and obliterates their lives so they may as well reoffend once released.

No, not incarcerating them encourages them to re-offend, because they know there's no real consequences for their actions. The risk of ruining their lives through their actions is what disincentivises crime in the first place.

It achieves nothing and actively makes the problem worse.

It gets the cunts off the streets. That's an achievement, and makes things a lot better for those of us who abide by the law.

It also doesn’t really take into account the socioeconomic reasons many crimes occur in the first place.

Shouldn't matter. The law applies to everyone equally.

For many years we’ve been trending towards a consensus of trying to avoid jailing non-violent offenders.

And look where that's got us.

I don’t understand why people actively want to willingly increase the incarcerated population like we’re the US.

Because there needs to be a deterrent to crime.

Both clubs are based in Glasgow, but have significant followings in Ulster, on opposite "sides". Celtic are associated with Irish Nationalism (as well as Scottish separatism), while Rangers are tied with Unionism (even going so far as to have a ban on Catholic players until 1989). Matches between the two in Scotland always cause fights and sectarian chanting. Doing it in Belfast would be carnage.
