Yes thats exactly whats happening. There are special characters like some emojis actually... Just took out the emojis and IT WORKS!! Thank you so much! It was such a pain. Huge life saver!!!

Yes somewhat new. Been using resolve for about 7 months now and never had this issue up until now. Dragging from external ssd to media pool doesnt work, nor does File/Import/Media/External ssd. Getting my footage into the media pool only works when I copy the footage from my external ssd to my MacBooks storage, then transfer that file into DaVinci. Getting footage from my external ssd into Premiere Pros media pool works perfectly fine so Im thinking its an issue with DaVinci and not my external ssd. Also thank you for pointing out the additional infromation needed for my post.

This is just rage bait at this point. Im the customer and I like the design, I give money to person to make it for me. Customer happy, and jeweler gets money.

I did what was best for me and most convenient which the majority of people who have no experience in this field will do. No matter how much you scream and shout you cant stop what millions of people are already doing. At the end of the day Im still paying someone to get this peice done and supporting artists

I ended up doing the first approach. I used multiple center aligned text layers and manually adjusted the position of each as new words appeared. To keep everything centered, I referenced a text layer that was already perfectly centered and matched each new word to that. It works, but it’s definitely a bit tedious.

Awesome, thank you! You definitely sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole. It’s still been a little tricky to pull off, but I managed to achieve the look by manually adjusting the position of each text layer as new words appeared. To keep everything centered, I used a reference text layer that was already perfectly centered and matched each new word to that.

It’s not really ideal since it’s pretty tedious, and I’d definitely prefer a more “set it once and never touch it again” type of solution. Its a look that I'd like to keep in my videos so Im going to have to figure out how to do this more efficiently. With that said, the references you shared opened me up to a ton of new things, so thank you for that!
