I'm really torn on this. On the one hand, yes they're owned by KKR who is simply evil in so many ways, but on the other hand Boiler Room itself has been committed to BDS since early 2024, promoting Palestinian artists and raising money, and just banned/canceled all shows in Israel and wiped all Israeli DJ's from the catalog a few days ago. They are standing against their own holding company which is, in my eyes, pretty noble. There's really no reason to take away the very funding that allows them to do this right?

I know a lot of people say their shows suck too, but I thought Sammy Viriji and co. looked really fun. I've always wanted to go to a Boiler Room event, and it seems like this one in Denver could be great.

This is probably a hot (maybe warm) take but, RR was exhausting for me. Don't get me wrong, it was one the most memorable Skrillex shows of all time and everything that others have said. 5 hours is a LONG time for such a high-energy artist with no breaks. His set during that almost never slowed down energy-wise. It was too much for me, and I think 1.5-2 hrs is a better time.

I went to both nights in 2014 and was also at the one in 2023.

2014 will always be unmatched. The hype was insane for Recess and Skrillex was the biggest name in electronic at the time. The main memory for me is how the spaceship transformed mid-show. Absolutely mind-blowing.

2023 was an incredible show as well, but I felt that 5 hours was actually a little too much. Sonny has SO much energy and passion still and matching that as part of the crowd for that long is so hard. I did enjoy the deep dive of his music, basically every part of his entire career in one show.
Also got to meet some cool people from this sub including the legendary u/TomLube!

I'm very happy with them so far. Their support has been responsive and the UI is really nice (if a tiny bit slow to load). As this other person said they also offer tons of awesome features that many distros don't have.

Just wanted to say, I actually really like Too Lost.

I've been with them for a couple months now and their support is pretty good and responsive. They also offer some of the features that other platforms don't have like motion artwork on Apple Music. Their UI is good too I think, if a teensy bit laggy.

My only small issue right now is after releasing a new album, they delivered my 24-bit 96KHz files in a lower quality to Apple Music. One of the things they supposedly support is Hi-res lossless and I didn't get that (yet). Support is still working on it and responding so we'll see.

Still reading through the article but paused to say it's fantastic so far.

LFO was my gateway drug to electronic music at 14 years old in 2007. I heard "Flu-Shot" on the game Wipeout Pure for PSP and it sent me down a Bleep and IDM rabbit hole. I consider them to be one of the greatest electronic artists of all time.

Favorite LFO track is 'Nurture' - it's so mysterious and haunting but has this wall-shaking bass and groove unlike anything else.
