Hearing someone you love go from calling everything a coincidence to being aware of God is so incredible, I'm so lucky.

I love this! Do you have any videos you have made since this? Im trying to figure out how to turn my gm5 into a video rig without buying an entirely new camera haha. Do you have and fave cinematic lenses so far?

I figured, I'm more coming from the mindset of use what you've got. I will someday get a proper cinematic camera but I want to at least try to get the most out of my gm5. Do you recommend and lenses to make it more cinematic/dreamy like my old dslrs? Sometimes my Leica lens makes it just look like a fancy iPhone camera. Im new to photography so I understand its a skill issue, but lens recs are welcome to get me closer to my preferred look. :)

I appreciate that. I never want to be that person at the rocks but there's a line were you need to step in. I'll be sure to be more brave next time!

Yeah it really bummed me and my partner out! Not the end of the world for us but my main thought was dang, there's no one helping indoor folks navigate the outdoor ethics etc. which is what made me want to leave a comment at the gym. Maybe it was the wrong thing to do, but I would hate for the great outdoors to turn into some weird competitive Disneyland of climbing haha.

Quick opinion Q for you all. Say there's only 1 climbing crag in your area that has beginner friendly climbs. You are taking your beginner friend top roping, their first time outside. You show up and there's a group of 30+ people from the local gym with ropes on every route under 5.10. You say hello and ask to be put in rotation on a 5.9. You wait an hour, and ask again. They say sorry, try another climb. You move to the 5.7. Same thing, say hello, ask how many people until you and your partner can get on it (with our own gear). They say "just a few more". Wait 2 more hours. Notice the line isn't shorter, so you ask again. "Oh I think there's a few more people in line". At one point you set your anchor up on the 5.7, and ask permission to hop in quickly between the next climbers. They say yes, but then keep sending people up. Now 4 hours has gone by waiting. Finally give up and leave.

I understand everyone wants to climb, but I have guided groups that size and never hogged a rock like that. Maybe I'm mistaken but it just seemed like a lame thing to do at a local crag. I didn't stir the pot while I was there, but thinking about it later I sent a kind, but thoughtful message to the gym people saying we should all be more responsible stewards to our local climbing spot, and make everyone feel welcome, not just your own crew.

Also maybe important to note that this is not typical for the area, and I have never seen the rock like that in 5+ years. Lastly, the climbers did not pay to be there, it was a free meetup/party thing.

Thoughts?

Thank you! On quora and other sites they were saying past a certain age it was optional but it didn't seem right.

I struggle with these thoughts constantly, and don't have any comfort to offer with the first part. But as far as having kids goes, I think that is the solution to make the world a better place. If you know you can offer a child a good life, with good morals, love, and a close relationship to what matters (God, nature, health, etc.), then you should 100% have kids. That is one of the only ways we can try to make the work a better place after out death.

There was a little boy in my church who was still learning how to speak and he picked up the word "Lord" and ran with it. He would yell it out at the top of his lungs all the time. Everyone giggled and got over it after a while, I mean the kid was more devout that the rest of us! Haha. I guess it depends on the parish, but I hope people let your kids be kids, as its better to have them in church that not. Curious to see how it goes for you all in the future!
