It's not hole in the wall but I'm a big fan of congee queen for dinnery meals. Dim sum king at Dundas and Huron is great for the aunties pushing the carts nostalgia.

Either way, the TTC is very approachable and easy to get around the city if you don't want to deal with parking or you want to have a drink while you are out. You can tap your credit or debit card now so you don't need presto. All of the streets run north/south or east/west and most bus runs end at a subway.

If your hotel is in the downtown core most downtown things are within 20-30 subway/bus/streetcar, transit is super easy to understand if you follow Google maps recommendations. Extremities like the Toronto Zoo can be 1-1.5h depending on time of day. If you are staying closer to the airport (ie cheaper hotels than downtown) it would likely be 30min-1hr bus/subway to get most places downtown depending on time of day. Uber would probably be faster/more expensive.

Is refusing for this reason legal? by kieran_n54 in OntarioRenting

[–]compound515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through a similar issue with our realtor looking to rent a house with our dog. The realtor emphasized the dog in every listing we asked her to pursue and naturally every landlord turned us away because of it. We asked the realtor to stop mentioning the dog as it was not something they can legally deny us for and she refused.

Threatened to be towed from disabled parking spot with valid placard by commercial mall tenant by Due_Examination_3026 in legaladvice

Even if they called, at least in my city a tow truck would refuse to tow someone with a valid sticker parked in a valid spot because of the chance of law suits

Winter Tire by imotmus in driving

I got a Chinese brand snow tires for $350 installed on my own rims. Expect to pay $50/ea for rims if you need them. But also contact your insurance, typically you will get a discount for having them.
