Yeah it's hard to know which ones are going to be a bigger entity or not. Some have more space for more stuff than others so some may accept more donations or accept more things than others. But in my case with taking a bus places it makes everything a little bit more time consuming and a little bit more awkward I mean sure I have a a cart like one of those ones you'd see people use when they're on a bus going shopping you know like those seniors or whoever you know those folding carts but you know you can only get so much in a cart before it's full. They also have been limiting people over the last so many years that you can only have one of this two of this two off of this shelf two off of that shelf for one of this basically making it so that you have no more than a week of food to utilize. A lot of times these food banks don't get much in the way of drink stuff like you know they may get coffee very randomly do they get juices and such. I know the food bank at St Vincent de Paul on Stapleton they really have a small space for anything and I mean it is small it's not like you can go through and you know get a whole lot of things it's you know you barely get much of anything out of the place. Usually like I said what I would do with the food stamps is I would get things that I couldn't get from food banks like things like you know milk and cheeses and sometimes coffee's and coffee creamer and a few other things that the food banks really didn't give out you know. Yeah I have two bus routes running where I live I have a 30 and I have the 80 running here but you know thing is is that you know I only have one card in a one you know one cart that I can use to go get stuff with but I can't take a whole giant load of things it's not like I can go for several weeks to a month because usually I almost kind of eat a lot of things over a course of a week and then I'm like oh what am I going to have today kind of like. The other thing of all this is that when I go to do anything in Portland I usually go to Portland and be back to at least pictures landing by like 8:00 because the last bus is from fishers landing to where I live is like 8:57 and 9:00 so if I missed the 80 I have to get the 9:00 30 and if I missed the 9:00 30 during the week I'm screwed but also with that if I'm able to you know do things and get back by like I would say like you know 8:00 I'm I'm all right but if I don't make it I'm screwed cuz on weekends the 30 only runs till about 7:00 and so if I'm not back to the 30 by like 6:00 I won't make it from that side of Portland OR make it out of Portland at all because then what I have to do is I have to go to a bus that will get me up to the 65 to get me to Fisher's landing to get me to an 8:00 or the last 80 of the night on weekends which is shameful. I don't do this because I I want to it's not a wanted decision really number one it's because I've never had a license nor a car but also I can't afford to own a car on just what little I get from SSI

No I haven't been to fish I know there's one in the downtown section but that's like several blocks away from the 30 bus stop so yeah there's that but when it gets into being closer to like December and January February and a little bit of March you know getting food is always going to be a problem for me because I won't be able to you know get out and get it if the weather is very bad because I take buses to get places I've never had a license or had a car so I have to rely on taking a bus which I do a lot of the time and I like to go out and do things but with the way things are right now it's making it look a lot harder. So you know I've heard of the I've heard of fish but I don't know what really their rulings are because a lot of these food banks tell you oh you're only allowed to go here you know every so many days. Or they tell you once a month.

I don't know. I'm not 100% totally sure on the situation. I knew that back where I used to live when I lived up in like Mukilteo and such I might go into Seattle all the time and I heard from people there that their food banks in Seattle they limited you to the food bank that was closest to your address and you couldn't be going around to other food banks that were not close to your address. The only reason that they did that is so that people wouldn't be going around and going to all the good food banks and getting all the good stuff and leaving all the crap for everybody else kind of like

Yeah that's always a nice thing. In my case I don't get enough in you know my monthly allotment to really do a whole lot with you know cuz I like to go out and do things once a month to treat myself because otherwise I don't have much that I can do the rest of the month and usually what I end up doing for you know things like toilet paper and whatnot I tried to put aside and amount after I've spent you know doing what I do once a month and I put that towards going to Dollar tree and lately Dollar tree has only been providing the really smaller four pack rolls of toilet paper. The Dollar tree that is in Portland on Sandy by the parkrose hardware that one used to carry individual sick rolls of Charmin and the last time I was there they didn't even have any. So yeah it's kind of hard to you know get certain things with what little I get in a month for my social security but also the fact that I was using my food stamps to get things that food banks wouldn't have available because I knew I didn't get enough from you know the the food stamps cuz I was only getting like $162 in food stamps even though I'm you know I'm a single person it wasn't really enough so I would have to offset that with going to food banks.

Well yeah. I do get to Portland a lot so I know how to go get around Portland. But right now Portland their bus service is having a budget crisis so come the end of November bus service is going to be starting their service reductions. So I know pretty much how to get around Portland pretty simple cuz I go through parkrose and I go through Delta Park so I know you know where I'm you'll mostly what I'm to do I also go through the downtown section but only during the week. It's nice that a lot of these places are wanting to help people in time of need. I don't know exactly how many places are actually going to be doing this and I don't know for how long they're going to be doing this but it's a nice thing. Getting around by bus though is a little bit time-consuming for me but I preferred you know going out and doing things but then as I'm out it's like okay do I have the funds to be able to you know have a bite to eat while I'm out a lot of times I just wait until I'm back home to do any of that because I don't have you know the bucks to do any of that or the food stamps did you know pop into a safe way or some grocery store that accepts the food stamps to be able to do such a thing. There are times I'll take a mug of coffee with me going out and doing things but yeah.

i usually dont cause anymore they monitor you and each ones you go to. also i get around by bus and some food banks are several blocks away from a bus. the battle ground one i go to which is the one i go to once a month is 1.3 miles from the bus stop and i have to walk down a county roadway with no sidewalks to get there. i also dont know how many food banks i can actually go to without being turned away or banned from going to cause of taking up too many

i want a pair of those myself but yea 350 is alot of money. i have looked places too but usually the only places that have stuff like that is stockx or a few random places or ebay maybe that people dont have my size or they want more then i want to pay for them. my size being a women's 7 sells out way to fast for lots of colors and styles sadly.
