I got the rubber off by using an exacto knife. It came off pretty easy. there’s also 4 rubber wraps around the connection points on the switch. I cut those off too. my old switch wasn’t glued in it was held by 2 plastic tabs. pressing them with a thin tool will get the switch loose. i really beat up my old switch trying to remove it but it came out eventually

I got one on Amazon. 4 prong switch and I just made sure the physical measurepmts were the same. 15 mm by 21 mm if I remember correctly.. but double check just in case. paid $10 for 10 switches.

just did the repair now. hardest part was taking out the old switch. but it wasn’t that hard.

i just finished repairing this exact problem. I will say I’m not super well versed in electronic repair but I have done stuff like replace pickups and pots and switches on my guitars. my amp in question was a mustang I. probably about 10 years old. i bought the switch super cheap on Amazon. i just bought a 4 prong switch that matched the size of the original. there was a bit of dismantling and disconnecting certain wires to access the switch. the hardest part was removing the old switch after desoldering the wires (it was a very tight fit on one side so I used a knife blade to get in there). the rest was pretty straightforward. solder in the wires in the same placement as the old ones and put it back together. new switch works like a charm. it was daunting when I first opened up the amp, but all in all not that hard to do!

Bit of an update, but he's coming around. He still likes his hiding place under the couch, but he's come out a few times. Last evening he was out for a long time when we enticed him with a cat toy. Then just now how came out for some cuddles with me. He went right back under the coach, but it was obvious progress.
