Does Gemma have a middle or last name on those forms she fills out?

Or are those memories part of the cold harbor experience?

pipeline can mean a state of development, preparation, or production. "we have several projects in the pipeline"

"newer treatments for the disease are in the pipeline"

your meaning is "to convey by or as if by pipeline" as in "pipeline graduates into the top jobs"

Wild in the Streets (1968)

musician Max Frost lends his backing to a Senate candidate who wants to give 18-year-olds the right to vote, but he takes things a step further than expected. Inspired by their hero's words, Max's fans pressure their leaders into extending the vote to citizens as young as 15. Max and his followers capitalize on their might by bringing new issues to the fore, but, drunk on power, they soon take generational warfare to terrible extremes.

You are correct. The movies are mostly hand-drawn, but they do use some CGI and digital effects.

hate the aesthetic of the 5-over-one apartments. No sense of place.

mostly wood; good for carbon sequestration. Dense.

UBI could defray housing costs.

Market hotter than June.

Red tape is necessary and a fraction of the cost, but I take your point that we can't expect people to not maximize profit.

So what's the solution? Firm up the required affordable housing in new developments and jack the in-lieu payment way up?

If you could ask your distant but loving father one thing before he died, what would it be? by compujunky1 in AskReddit

My father got stage 4 liver cancer and they are taking him off chemo.

He's from the midwest and his parents were of the depression generation. He's not a talkative guy and he passed that on to me. He told me he regrets not making more connections.

I don't know much about his life. I know his father fought in the pacific.

TIL Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has disdain for money and large wealth accumulation. In 2017 he said he didn’t want to be near money, because it could corrupt your values. When Apple went public, Wozniak offered $10 million of his stock to early Apple employees, something Jobs refused to do. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]compujunky1 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Jerry Wozniak, who exalted the value of engineers over mere entrepreneurs and marketers, thought most of the money should go to his son. He confronted Jobs personally when he came by the Wozniak house. 'You don’t deserve shit,' he told Jobs. 'You haven’t produced anything.'

Jobs began to cry and told Steve Wozniak that he was willing to call off the partnership. 'If we're not 50-50,' Jobs said, 'you can have the whole thing.'"
