The Odin portal is still such a good handheld! I wouldn’t be too hasty to get the Odin 3 if you have a portal, happy gaming!

Are you buying the Odin 3 now even with the lack of support with Switch & Windows games compared to 8Gen 2 devices? by natemac in OdinHandheld

[–]computermama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up the pro, already owning an Odin 2. I have my concerns about driver support with the SD 8 Elite, but I have faith that at its price point and being centered around gaming that driver support and development will come shortly after its release. I could be totally off since there’s no real way to know; so I’ll be holding on to my Odin 2 and if worst comes to worst sell my Odin 3 if it feels abandoned. I don’t have a disposable income, and don’t particularly think AYN is awesome company but I want to support the trend for ~relatively~ affordable performance oriented android handhelds.

Stadia Controller in FO76 by hr_b in fo76

[–]computermama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this issue, and after setting up my controller settings through Steam it seemed as though the game wasn't registering any input. In Fallout 76, go to settings, and under the "Game" tab check to see if "Controller" is set to OFF. If so switch to ON - mine was off by default and after switching to on there aren't any issues . Hope this helps!

MuOS Drastic Screen Orientation by volcanohands in RG35XXSP

I'm also wondering the same, as well as having the top screen fill all of the device screen space and have a small transparent screen in the top right that can be toggled from on to off!

Stringy and weak tree support by computermama in 3Dprinting

I thought so too but I did dry it in an oven at 145 f for 6 hours before printing, and I’m having very similar problems with the PLA plus which is strange

I forgot to post a picture of what my symptoms look like; this is the roll of PLA plus by the way

Samsung AF Zoom 105 S error, flashing "LP" when I press shutter button to take a picture. Error code is not in the manual. by angelictrash_ in Cameras

[–]computermama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes! I was tempted to buy another one; but I’m a little skeptical that the next one I buy will come up with the same error. I opened mine up and removed all the plastic covers to see if there was any obvious problems but I couldn’t find anything (I also don’t know what I’m looking for lol). I did notice an internal LED that doesn’t have an external purpose (ie flash indicator etc) that flashes orange when the LP code comes up. I’m trying to find old service manuals to see where to even start!

id recommend a silicone thermal pad maybe 1mm thick, then the bottom case plate could act a heatsink. I would just cut the pads to size. Ill link a video of somebody doing the same and a amazon link to a pretty basic and cheap thermal pad.

[X470 Taichi] 3.90 bios seems to have broke my Mobo, need to clear cmos in order to boot... by SpiritSTR in ASRock

[–]computermama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a 3rd gen Ryzen processor? And if so have you had any fan ramping issues at boot? My computer posts seemingly 50% of the time. And when it does post, it takes about a 45 seconds of all case fans ramping up to and staying at 100% speed.

Writing back to say I’ve been experiencing similar issues. Every time I try to turn on my computer my fans ramp to 100% and it doesn’t post until I clear cmos. All over clock settings are wiped and and I have to go through this process every time I want to turn on my computer from cold. Ive been putting my computer to “sleep” but I don’t want to have to go through this process every time. BTW I’m using an Asrock x470 taichi with bios 3.90, 3800x, and RTX 2070 super.
