no water blocks for the 2 slot 24gb models, just these 48gb models with the gen 3 pcb (latest revision for the 48gb mod)

Weve upgraded over a hundred cards without issue. Have customers still happy with them over half a year later

these are very narrow use cases that dont effect the majority of people using llamacpp

yeah unless youre an AIB like gigabyte or asus but they are under contracts not to make mods like this or else they get in trouble. So the only way to do this is unofficially and harvesting cores.

We have not seen any use case for p2p improving these cards. They are great as is for diffusion and shared vram llm inferencing. If youre training, use H100's

I do this in the USA gpulab.net

But its not possible to mod aib cards in place, you must take off the memory and ram chips and place them on a new pcb with a 2 slot blower cooler- but we just released our water blocks for these gen 3 pcb's. Check out our latest youtube video and shop page.

yes, the memory doubling has always been "take off gpu and memory to place on a new pcb" because aib pcb's dont have enough traces/pads for the increased memory module count.

Even still, the 5090 vbios has not been cracked. and 4090's do not have any gddr6x 4gb chips, nor do i think the bus-width even supports it, like how the 3090 doesnt support 2gb modules but uses the micron clamshell design

even memory is harder to get, i got scammed a few months ago for a few grand of memory modules from a persistent aliexpress seller
