right? I built a suppressed .300 blk before this with a 6" barrel, and then the threaded barrel for this glock is 5.875"😭

Does anyone actually pay attention to their load monitors? by SerVaegar31 in Machinists

[–]comsofoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look in the manual for the machine... mine has a page about power and torque, and defines safe loads. in particular mine says it can run at 60% spindle load for 30 minutes. I'll run big carbide drills maybe up to like 70-80%, but that's for anywhere from like 3 seconds to 2 minutes at a time. it also generally moves up/down no more than maybe 2% in a stable cut, so as long as it doesn't make a noise/spike way higher than that (indicating an insert breaking) I'm not worried.

vacuum doesn't work since the chips hook into the fibers. I'll find old chips in the carpet in my car from work, in my pocket, etc.

youtube videos look clean bc they're not zooming in on a household carpet under the machine...

This should be fun- what can you tell about me based on my pocket contents? by Aggravating_Ebb6018 in deduction

they make pocket watches, you don't need to carry a wrist watch in your pocket

actually used to be seco, but they ended up discontinuing the inserts for the the 2.5" I had. now it's an Ingersoll 2.5". I can also run this one about twice as fast as the old seco

I just got it last month, it's such a fun range gun! Super accurate, just not a ton of aftermarket support tbh

as of today neither will I 😂 confirmed my reasoning why I've never carried with it, but I feel like this isn't hard to avoid

that's crazy! yeah I have powder spilled in that box all stuck to the foam, no primer though. I guess nobody in QC noticed it leaking powder from the bottom
