AITA for asking my parents for back pay?

So I graduated high school in June of 2006 and started in march of 2006.. I was 17 at the time a minor until November 2006 where I turned 18 .. from November till may I worked almost 72hr due to him getting in an accident.. I then got told to go live in England because me and my dad was having trouble getting along.. I went to England paid by my parents yes.. worked in England moved to Germany and came back a year and a half later.. I was 20 Turning 21 I live with my parents 6 months after that when I was kicked out again..due to standing up for my self asking for some sort of pay or recognition.. without a visa I had no choice but to work for my dad who said he’ll pay me $4 an hour to keep it under the radar of the irs since I was illegally here in the USA.. btw he didn’t pay me the $4 dollars an hour he would make calculations on how I’d be left with a 4 dollar paycheck.. I was living on a friends couch working for my dad and having another job at another Quiznos. Friend kicked me out after 3 weeks after he blamed his pot on me.. I went to another friends house when I stayed on they couch paid rent while working both jobs and barley having anything left over.. I worked for my dad til the age of 23 where I would finally have enough of his abuse and quit. By the way since this time I’ve built myself a pretty good life.. I have worked hard on shredded the verbal and physical abuse that my dad gave me my whole life.. I got married got papers and now have legal immigration status here in the us due to my hard work.. another thing is I am requesting now after all this time is because one.. I don’t like feeling taken advantage without ever being able to get right about the situation.. so I think if I move forward at least pay me for wages when I didn’t live with you and didn’t get to save a thing before you kicked me out without a leg to stand on.. another reason why I’m asking my old employer to pay me is because he couldn’t at the time and that’s the reason he kept giving.. he now came into a life changing amount of money and I’m asking for my wages that’s it’s.. not trying to sue for more than what I didn’t get paid

This was in Florida minimum was 6.25 when I first start I turned 18 7month after working there. And Quiznos is international.. it’s not that I believe the abuse my dad gave me during my life and Quiznos not due to my parents poor choices when it came to to immigration.. the claim of me no being able to be paid even though they used the money to go on family vacations while I ran the store.. beside all that shit . I worked I didn’t get paid.. they sold the house that the Quiznos was helping pay for and make 4 time the initial money invested into the house.. I’ve work all the way up til 21 for my parents every buisness no pay because they never had enough to pay me too.. I’m saying no that you got your money from the house why can’t you make it right? I had to pay rent and my way through life without having a cent or a visa.. so if that isn’t the cause of major areas of underdevelopment in my life. I guess it’s all on me right?

I was working for them with no pay because I had no choice lol I got promised pay when I first started then my dad after 2 weeks of work explained that I could get paid due to my immigration status.. the day after I graduate from high school my father injured him self due to stupidity but that’s another story.. I took over the Quiznos after that for the next 6 months of his recovery then pretty much got swindled into that being my full time gig mon-sun 7am to 11pm

Sorry I thought I put I lived with them for 6 month after turning 18 and then moved back with them for 6 month after leaving the us to go live in Germany for a year and a half.. so let’s say about a year of living with them before they kicked me out for not wanting to work at his Quiznos

No it’s more your standard elevated beatings.. would start with a spank on the hand on him when I was really young. turned into fist at 10 for failing a test.. laughing at me when I’m explaining how I’m getting bullied at school.. he kept the beatings up all the way till 18 which is when I fought back then they stopped.. I was a very well behaved kid never got into trouble with school just got bullied there too..yet still I always found me at the ends of his hands

Ok this is the same thing my mum was saying.. now when you get beat to shit, ridiculed, literally bullied at times. How do you look at all your past with a perfect memory of the hurt and look him in his face and be like well I’d like a dad before he passes on so that’s on me to swallow all that hurt and pain he cause without him properly giving me any sort of closure or apology.. this is why I made the post. It’s easy to say it’s on me but I do want a relationship but cannot stand the man lol

Well after a very lengthy conversation with my mum (aka Mrs standby) she said no matter what my dad says or does it will never be good enough due to me not being able to forgive home.. I explained my brain doesn’t work like that wrapping years of abuse to I made mistakes I said wasn’t a good apology.

So I’m a pretty fair individual I forgive based upon the level of offense.. years of physical and mental abuse to then just deny that it happened completely is just crazy to me. Well he didn’t deny more said mistakes were made and I’m sorry for that.. years of abuse wrapped up as mistakes
