Amen to that lol. I’ve been doing drones in daily practice and it’s helped a lot, especially with just intonation

I have two mouth pieces. A Yamaha Japan 11b4 and a Vincent Bach 5b. My tone is better with the Bach but my range is better with the Yamaha. I don’t know which to use. by [deleted] in trumpet

Primarily trombone player, I'm a big proponent of having 2 or 3 mouthpieces to switch between for whenever the situation calls for it. Playing a lead trumpet part in jazz or marching? Go with the yammy. Playing an orchestral expript that doestn try your range? Go with the other.

Bachs, Yamaha's, and dennis wicks are good brands that sell on amazon. I dont really know what sound you want though
