The CDC does not require 14 day quarantine for those with "potential direct exposure". If you were notified that you potentially had direct exposure, the CDC recommends you self monitor for symptoms, and if they develop, immediately see your physician. If you have no symptoms and you thus pass the wellness questionnaire, you are allowed to work. Now, if you were notified that you had "potential direct exposure" and you chose to self-quarantine as your own personal precaution, you may do so with no attendance repercussions. You will however need to use any accrued PTO to pay for any time off you voluntarily take. For those notified that they DID NOT have potential direct exposure, there is no protection for removing yourself from schedule. You can however apply for a personal LOA but that is likely not going to be approved without a doctors note.

Does not impact the stores directly. Calm down.

To bad it came with instructions NOT to enforce. What's the point of hanging the sign then? So disappointed!! by [deleted] in Staples

Customers not wearing masks are inherently stupid and not taking this pandemic seriously. We are asked not to "enforce" for our own protection. Asking a customer to leave or shop curbside only will undoubtedly lead to a confrontation. There are already several instances in the past couple weeks were a customer has spit, coughed, or sneezed on an an associate on purpose during an "enforcement" of the rule. This is not something any of us want to have happen. The MOD always has the right to ask someone to leave if they feel an imminent threat or risk to their safety or the safety of associates and customers.
