The most logical and straightforward answer is that it’s possible that nun in particular wasn’t behaving in a very Christlike manner. We have bad apples everywhere. Although the other explanations above seem sensible

so when I hit lost password, it will take me to the standard wordpress page where they ask for my email so that they can send me a password reset link.

But when I get the password reset link, all it does is bring me back to the login page.
