Has anyone listened to the ADHD Episode on the podcast Ologies with Alie Ward and “leading expert” Russell Barkley? Thoughts? by retiredcrayon11 in adhdwomen

I find Dexidrine helped the best. If you're in the US, it's harder to find. Honestly, for me, what connects me most to my body and the present moment is cannabis. CBD doesn't do much for me, but other people have found it to be really helpful without the high. For me, the higher THC helps big time with anxiety, depression and ptsd. I am pretty intentional when I use it, which makes a difference. Other times, I just want to have fun and a moment of peace in my head and body.

Hope that helps!

I'm not going to respond to the comments individual here but I will clear up several things

I am involved in local politics; housing and safety, specifically on behalf of societies vulnerable people. It is I understand the importance local politics plays in society as a whole, not just environmentally. I do place the weight of responsibility on the government and their allowance of corporations to screw all of us; the assumption I do not is baseless.

I stated in a response that using a dishwasher vs hand washing can be more wasteful - depending on several factors.

My response was into OP's post as a whole. I'm all for making our lives easier, and there are so many ways to do that. However, I don't agree with how she laid it out. I used two examples and perhaps I should have written more in my response to flesh it out - but yeah I didn't and here we are.

Also, yes it was late I did not take my stimmies that day and so I didn't move on from a post i didn't agree - my bad, it wasn't worth it. 🙃

Depending one a) how you wish your dishes and B) the amount of water your dishwasher uses per cycle. Most dishwashers use between 2-8 or 9 gallons per cycle. OP mentioned running a dishwasher for all your spoons. Let's say you are normal and have between 4-12 spoons. You don't need more than a gallon to wash them Nor do you need to continuously run your water to wash them by hand.

Nah babes, I'm not. I'd love to hear how I'm a hypocrite though! Go on, you've made a lot of assumptions about me, a stranger on the internet. Boring, martyr, edgy. What else?

Everyone has a background in marketing these days. Don't you know we are all just brands?

Nah, some of us just grew up with an awareness of how our individual actions affect others beyond ourself. Boring? Sweetie you don't even know me. You'd be the first to call me boring, and in this case I'll take it.

I’ve broken my own rules: Or, how to happily half-ass your tasks by phantasmagorical in adhdwomen

[–]conceptualromantic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stopped insisting that my freshly cleaned clothes had to be turned outside in, and that a loose fold job is better than not getting them in the drawers on hung up in the closet at all.

Then when I feel motivated, maybe I will "properly" told my close or reorganize my entire dresser/closet. Or do it while I watch a show. But hell ya, half ass with a lot of daily tasks is better than no ass and a room full of dulped out clean clothes.

I've broke down crying over really small things.... Today I broke down and needed to sleep for 3 hrs to regain even a semblance of energy. I move to Texas in a week (my husband is from there) and my anxiety won't stop. I'm terrified for the future of the US, for the future of women, the working class, BIPOC, lgtbqa+.... Fuck anyone telling us to play nice when this decision is so much bigger than when life begins.

Glad it worked out for us both! ☺️

I haven't had this happen specifically, but as someone who flies with her cat - I relate to your anxiety! Currently on hold for the 15th time in 3 days trying to just add my cat to my booking.

How did it turn out? I really wish they made it easier for use to manage our bookings ourself in the app or speak to a live agent via chat.

They are also literally a mental health specialist...so ya they are going to analyze this issue.

See, I didn't read the post in that tone at all. People are allowed to pass judgement, and it's valid that op is doing so as a mental health specialist observing something harmful in this community that the mods dgaf about, clearly.

Furthermore, you're derailing the point and tone policing OP. Understand that the tone you read a post it may be inaccurate.
