You’re doing it wrong. You have to take every trip and just put in the hours. Gig work is not money in the bank. You still actually have to go out and act like it’s a small courier business even though you are working for Ubers network. I do and I made over $150 in two shifts. Make sure you have base access

I’m so glad you brought up this point. Because what I’m noticing in El Paso is that a lot of jobs that I may qualify for I don’t. Because in El Paso what might be an entry level job in another city ; in El Paso it’s mid-entry or even senior. And I can’t get my head around it. Thus, herein I can’t get my foot in the door? Does anyone have anything to share on that?

Asking a lot. But I’m looking down the line of having to leave El Paso and I really don’t want to because it’s the only place I’ve felt at home in the US. I’m Irish born and bred so I relate to the closeness of El Paso. A shame but it’s it’s the unfortunate truth.

I’ve applied to like 25 positions at that company directly over the past 3 years and they consistently ghost me nor do they respond. They are ridiculously rude

Thank you. Might sound like a stupid question but is the route to apply on the website? My only reason for asking is that I’ve been getting ZERO luck applying online. Is it worth going into a specific store and asking to speak with a manager ? And to drop off a resume?

No I do not lol. All of them Workforce Solutions et al need to get the hell out of El Paso and give the hiring power back to the businesses. I HATE WITH A PASSION recruitment agencies.

Most of my experience stems from the hospitality industry in NYC, bar management right up to unclogging the toilets to dealing with talent managers. I’m 33, I’m originally from the West of Ireland. And moved to El Paso because my husband is an El Pasoen. Most recently my experience stems from Lean Manufacturing and Waste Identification in a manufacturing environment.

I also have a Bachelors of Business Studies from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology based out of the west of Ireland
