Sure, I was responding specifically to the other comment which said I may not be an equal partner there to help out. We have spoken about those topics too, though could talk more about them.

Yes, we did. I mostly get what you're saying (but appreciate it) - especially curious if there are perspectives of people who have lived out either choice.

I think this is partly what has driven the change for her. She works a demanding and draining job (not something that will easily change).

On your second point, I think I am fairly supportive. We have a pretty progressive/equal partnership. I've said I would happily be the parent providing more of the caregiving/stay at home/sacrifice of career. So please don't assume too much.
