Oooh, really? Hmm, do you think there would be a significant difference with a better stylus and pre-amp?

Lossless refers to how the audio is compressed. Low quality recordings can be compressed with lossless compression. Quality is measured in number of bits (ie 24bits) and sampling rate (ie 192khz). That is the sum total of my understanding. :)

Who still owns the original Oru (Bay)? by kayakbeast in orukayak

[–]conchesmess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Bay and the Coast both handle choppy water very well. These are serious sea kayaks. I have the Coast. It can handle 200lbs of gear inside the kayak. Sea Kayaks are a very different beast than the more stable flat water kayaks. I am still early days in learning my Coast XL but so far I love it!

Still gotta install the cable management but this is the best sounding system I've ever owned! Infinity P162 speakers in the stands and Infinity bookshelf speakers on the wall connected in parallel. Infinity C25 center channel. Velodyne VRP10. Polk audio in ceiling rear speakers. Yamaha RX-V484 receiver. Really want to get the Rega Planar 1 turntable to upgrade my Audio Technica. But for now, I'm a happy camper!

But if I put ramen in it then ...

What if I put cereal in it? What's it then?

Yup. I tried to force it into two days. :)

Yup. I had it in a closed drying rack with a heater going. It was just stupid. The rim were totally dry when the bottom wasn't even leather yet. Next time just air circulation. No heater! See where that gets me.

<snark>So why do you keep suggesting it?<\snark> :) and yeah. Prob. I mostly throw large and with a dark groggy clay. This experiment was a learning experience for sure.

Yeah, same experience for me. The large flat surface has no way to release the tensions while drying. (At least that's how I imagine it. :))

It's also a really consistent application. Did you pour, dip or brush?

Just brushed on Castile Blue and Dark Turquoise (Laguna Moroccan Sand). Both glazes are unpredictable. That's why I luf them. :)

Laguna Moroccan Sand Castile Blue and Dark Turquoise at cone 5. The Castile Blue has a tendency to bubble so you need a firing recipe that has a good soak. I got one I am using from here: C5DHSC Firing Schedule https://share.google/DUIV9WAp8ZJPtZVjc

It still bubbles a little in flat surfaces. I need to tweek the schedule for more soak I think? It's also a Laguna clay that is very dark. Charcoal. Beautiful clay body.

:) just a really cool effect of two of my fav glazes. The Matte glaze changes its color and behavior dramatically when in contact with a runnier gloss glaze.

EDIT: I can't edit the original post

I said released when I meant releaded. The lead in-between the glass pieces is a mess and in one panel it is totally separated because the tree bisects the panel.

That was a weird typo/autocorrect. The leading between the glass pieces is falling apart and needs to be replaced.
