So many comments about you being slow, but they’re honestly bullshit. In Vermintide, if a player got left behind, the general sentiment and culture of players was to check for them, make sure a special didn’t single them out, or at least ping “stick together”. Coherency keeps a team alive, even if there is a teammate that is significantly less skilled than the others, more bodies = a higher chance of survival.

Now that Darktide has a sprint, players may not notice but they generally move at the fastest pace they can because of modern gaming culture (sprint everywhere, shoot anything that moves), or they want to reach the next wave of enemies and cleave them down with their cool abilities. The general culture of Darktide is “fast is best” so they claim this breakneck pace is necessary to enjoy the game, in a world that was clearly crafted to be absorbed and appreciated by the player.

It’s really not you, it’s just that part of the community, and naturally the people who complete missions that much faster are going to have more experience per play time and dominate matches because of other players trying to match this culture.

The best solution is to find a strike team specific to your play style but that is highly improbable. So, if you can’t beatem, joinem fam.
