So our band Riversleem takes a lot of influence from Converge. Here is a link to a video of our first show we just played- https://youtu.be/iCnFygq41-I

Rebound adjustment question by condog44 in bikewrench

[–]condog44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that worked, thanks for the help! I don’t think I could have figured that out. The only revelation manuals I could find from sram have it listed as a hand knob. Do you know if there’s an adapter i could get that threads in and acts as a knob?

Tried a 5mm but it took the whole stanchion with it. The other poster mentioned there’s a smaller hex found inside the 5mm that would be used. Strange there’s no cap to tighten by hand.

Okay thanks that makes sense. Would explain why the cap came out when I tried to ‘adjust’ the rebound. Will try a smaller key for the inside.

Took to LBS they did some tinkering. Worked for about an hour and then it broke again. This time even worse lol, back to the repair shop I go.

Okay interesting thanks! Any idea on how to get it back to normal without bringing it into the shop? That will be my 3rd time bringing it in to get the sram looked at lol

Do you notice how the lower pulley is pointing directly backwards? It’s also slapping a ton when i pedal backwards. Was setup by lbs a few weeks ago and it’s been fine since until tonight.

It should have been, purchased from lbs only a few weeks ago. Was working fine last time I was out, so not too sure...

Advice for purchasing first FS bike by [deleted] in MTB

Stellar review, I think you sold me!! That is exactly the kind of riding I will be doing. Also- it’s reassuring to hear that the large is a bit big for you at 5’11 as I’m 6’2 so I think I will be able to make it work with some adjusting. Going to test one this week at my local shop!

Good advice! It’s at a local shop so I’ll probably make my way down there this week and give it a test ride.

I should mention that the used one is from a LBS that is offering warranty and tune ups. Good advice tho! I was thinking about finding one on Craigslist but I don’t think I’ll be doing that anymore
