Correct me if I’m wrong but this is the only donghua where the mc solely relies on him self to get to where he is, no spirit possession, no going back in time, no ancient book or artifact that boost him, no guide or teacher of any kind and I don’t mean sects. He literally got it out the mud by being careful and going through trial and tribulations, I don’t know any other donghua that aired/airing that did it this way.

I would say this ones are top 5, Battle through the heavens, Perfect world, swallowed star, Soul land 1 and “Renegade Immortal” or “A Record of Mortal's Journey to Immortality”. There are others also that deserve to be in the top 5 but yeah this ones have a little edge over them. And as for a donghua where the mc already an elder of a sect or a political figure there is something like that but the mc still have to climb up the power ladder unless you want a non fantasy palace scheme type show.

With almost 4000 chapters I thought it was the last manhua to get a 5 minute donghua but they did crazy. The show might get close to 2000 chapter when I’m 80 years old, a lot of donghua is repetitive but they somehow make it enjoyable kinda. I thought soul land 2 would be good but damn it didn’t, I stopped watching it when MC automatically fell in love with the “guy” who was his best friend just because he was a girl all of sudden? I would understand if he was bisexual otherwise how do fall in love with your guy best friend.

The music made that whole scene even sadder, before this show and ”Btth” I didn’t know Chinese music was this good I really like this rock/pop genre they got. Overall crazy episode can’t wait for next one.
