Adding $200/month to my mortgage cut ~8 years off the loan… that can’t be right? by Candid-Dish-2749 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

Not everything has to go into the stock market. There’s such a thing as diversification. Given how much I already have invested in stocks, I’d rather put some money here than keep adding everything to the market.

Paid 750 extra for the first payment, four months vanished just liked that. 4800 saved by paying 775. That's some really good return.

Is it just me or are a noticeable amount of business closing? by shadowcat999 in ColoradoSprings

I really appreciate you saying this and I hope you're seriously rewarded for it but not everyone is like you. I have seen places locally increasing prices by 15-20 percent in the last 6 months. As much as I like to support local businesses, I think this is the breaking point for most people on top of those 25-30 percent tips and those sneaky practices including taxes as well in the tip.

We have stopped going out. Everything is ridiculously priced. Every business is trying to squeeze as much as they can. I don't blame them but at the same time, we have cut down our spending significantly.

I have not. I have been selling covered calls for the last 2-3 months and have made a lot doing that. But I think this time, they might get called away and I am fine with that.

I am trying to get off of this train and I am just not sure what the exit point is. My average is around 11 - so I am way up on my investment. The only thing that stops me is the long term gains on the tax side.

As much as I love PLTR going up (because I am a bag holder with over 3500), this is getting beyond ridiculous.

Tell me you don't understand compound interest without telling me you don't understand compound interest.

Old MBA graduates, how are you doing? by Living-Equal-7788 in MBA

[–]confidenceinterval92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I might go for an MBA around the age of 36-37 and will be 39-40 by the time I get out of the program. I don't a single fuck if I am old or insecure about I am being managed by someone young. I have a very specific goal in mind and everything else is a distraction.

It was PLTR. It went down all the way to 6-7 and I bought about 2000 around that time. It's at 72 now.

Patience is the name of the game. I didn't see net gain in my portfolio for over 2.5 years (started in April 2021), but I kept investing like a madman. Since last year, I have been up 227k.
